<p>I've got bio and chem sat2 tests RIGHT before ap bio and ap chem test. </p>
<p>Currently, I'm using the kaplan sat chem/bio books to prepare for BOTH the ap and sat. </p>
<p>My question is how different are the tests? I don't mean format wise, but content. Is the ap more general? Are there things not covered in one but need to know in the other? </p>
<p>Also, are there score equivalents? (Ei: 750 = 5) </p>
<p>Please reply for both bio and chem. </p>

<p>For bio, there is effectively no difference in the content. I checked both SAT II bio books and AP bio books yesterday and found that they teach exactly the same topics, though there did seem to be variability in how in depth each went.</p>
<p>I'm taking AP/SAT II Bio and US. I think the most significant difference (at least for Bio) is that while both cover the same info the SAT II is much less forgiving. While the AP is more in depth you need about 70% right to be in the clear for a 5 on the other hand the SAT II curve is much less forgiving with you only being able to get 5-6 wrong to stay above a 750.</p>

<p>chem is the same, but the sat ii is a little more forgiving when it comes to a curve. if you are prepared for ap, sat ii will be easy - it is mainly the same content.</p>

<p>Are you sure? In Real SAT II's it says the curve is 5 wrong = 800.</p>

<p>still no where near as forgiving as the AP despite the fact that the material isn't all that different (on the AP you need 60/80 and approximately 25/40 on the essays to be good for a 5)</p>
<p>Alright, that curve seems pretty close to the one given by the college board except the one given by the college board has up to 74 raw as an 800...</p>
