2 days for ED II

yeah i'm pretty confused too...who's your friend?

I think it may come down to expectations. Some people expect to get a lot of aid, and when they find that they must pay a significant amount of money to attend college (as most people do), they feel jipped. Attending an expensive college involves sacrifice. The sooner people understand that, the better off they'll be.

If you are unhappy with your fin aid, call the college and ask them to explain how they arrived at your award. If you feel like you didn't get as much as you hoped, explain to them how much you thought you'd get, and ask them to explain the difference.

I completely understand and agree. It's just that when Middlebury promised to meet 100% of assessed need, I do not see how it is possible to view my Profile and determine that this is the amount that will enable me to come. It's almost as though they looked at the wrong file. I am extremely grateful for what they are willing to offer, it's just that I've had my heart set on Middlebury for a year now and to see that get washed away based on the financial shortfall is incredibly heartbreaking.
