Hi, I went to 2 high schools in 2 countries. My grades from my 1st high school were moved over to my final, graduating transcript because my guidance counselor did not wish to deal with 2 transcripts. Will colleges still require both transcripts, even though everything was official? Will this hurt my chances? The schools I'm thinking of are uc Berkeley, ucla and Stanford.

You will most likely need both transcripts. It will be your responsibility to contact the other school to have them send official transcripts, rather than you guidance counselor. Otherwise, colleges won’t know if everything from the original transcript was in fact transferred over, or whether adjustments were made to conform to your new school. High schools often merge the information from other schools onto their transcripts, but that is for their own internal purposes, to ensure the students meet graduation requirements.

Yes, you will need both transcripts. I have been helping a neighbor from Japan to apply college. That is the answer I got from all the schools I’ve talked to.
