2 Q's on practice math test

Which of the following is a polynomial factor of x(squared) -2x-15?
I want to know how the answer comes out to 3+x

if sin A = 4/5 then which of the foolowing could be tan A?
I want to know how tan A is 4/3

please and thank you

(x^2–2x–15) = (x+3)(x-5)

You can see that the second numbers in the quantities (3 and -5) add to the middle coefficient (-2). Those two numbers also multiply to -15.

sin is opposite(4) / hypotenuse(5) , tan is opposite(4) / adjacent(x). find the adjacent side by using pythagorean theorem, which comes out to be 3.

thank you both, i realize how easy 23 is now, still gonna take another look at 32 though, thank you
