2 SAT II Language Questions (K+S)

2 different language questions (Korean and Spanish)

*But first - when is the last month you’re able to take a subject test before early action/regular application (this is crucial for me, please answer this if nothing else!)

I’d love to take the Spanish subject test but unfortunately I’m not taking AP spanish in my junior year (only honors, which I do not believe will sufficiently train me for a satisfactory score on the subject test). How hard is it to self study that language after you know the basics?

… I’m a Korean kid and I was thinking of taking the Korean subject test - unfortunately i’m a hardcore twinkie (Yellow on the outside, white on the inside) and my korean is very rusty. Although I think I might be able to pull off an 800, I’d hate to get caught on words/sentences I don’t understand and end up with a 790 or something (which is exactly what my friend did). Does anyone know a good site/book that I can brush up on my korean? With key vocab words and stuff?

Thanks in advance!

For EA, November works for language w/listening for quite a few colleges,
check with their website to be sure ....

For RD, November is the only date for w/listening but you can take langauge
without listening in November/December (should be acceptable at most
colleges for RD with a few exceptions)

CollegeBoard's SAT subject test book has samples of exams with actual audio
CDs.

... some colleges this year are not taking Subject tests from
native speakers in their native langauge....you might want to check
with the specific places you are applying to ....
