Hello everyone ,
I am CCC student , this semester I might drop two classes then I get 2Ws in one semester. I that getting Ws better than C and D or F.
Will that affect me when transferring ?
Thank you
The four-year school will look at your whole transcript. One or two W’s are not typically a big deal, but it depends on your overall performance, GPA, and the competitiveness of the school you are trying to get into. So yes, the W’s may affect you, but if you continue with these courses and get a D or F, that will obviously affect your transcript as well. Ideally you want to show a four-year school that you can handle the work of college. Having too many stumbles undermines that. If your performance this semester is an unusual occurrence or can be explained, or there is a definitive upward trend (I don’t know if this is your first semester or not), that looks better than a history of failing/withdrawing/repeating courses.
