2007 USNEWS Rankings!

^^That's so funny looool

Hahahahahahahah Mikehahahahahahah Thats The Funniest Thing I Have Ever Heard About U Chicago Hahahahaha. I Guess U Need To Be On Drugs As Well To Write These Essays.

Chicago utilizing a common app? haha. I'd say that it is as uncommon as it gets. Yet the various unique aspects of the university are what attracted me to it in the first place.

Anyway, the 2007 edition is, in fact, available at my local Borders store, although I have not had the time to buy a copy yet.

lol mike thanks for making me feel better.

and God bless those crazy ass essays.

USC on par with Tufts? Impressive how they've managed to market themselves while we stagnate (well, relatively). It's nice that the Tufts selectivity rank moved up to 17, sharing that with Northwestern.

I got the rankings at the Barnes and Noble in Berkeley, California- on Shattuck Avenue.

That's probably why you were able to get it :)

i think penn is worthy of top 10, being 7 now. 4 was a little high I think (coming from someone who goes there), but i think it belongs at 7

I hear Newsweek is selling pretty well in Saratoga Springs this week.

organize a football team

well said tourguide. skidmore on that list is the biggest joke of the year.

The rankings are based on 2005 stats

Why do they use old info? The '06 data was surely available. Thanks for anwering, btw.

They used last year's data, which I guess would be for the class of 2009 (can anyone confirm it?). Don't know why though.

As per NYT( Business Section Aug 16, 2006) today, most colleges got e-mail regarding rankings today. There is no public display by USnews till Friday. So who ever is leaking( or making it up) must be a college admin here. No else has seen the hard copy so far other than 1 person, Calidon. Looks ike 2004 or 03 rankings recyled as 2007 here.

Wait a sec... so the data used to compute these rankings comes from two different years? Ha ha ha... these are totally useless. Absolute crap. I think I'm going to come up with a ranking in my room, and post it on the wall. It'll be just as valid, and I'll surely get more chicks because of it. "Ooh, is that your ranking?"

They base the rankings on the academic year that was just completed (2005-2006) and thus use the stats for students who were freshmen in that year (class of 2009). Since the class of '10 was not in college last year, for the purposes of consistency data must be used for the class admitted the year before.
