A look over Villanova's Business Website, seems to me to be a good business school.

VSB Fast Facts
- Size of incoming class in 2007: 399
- SAT score range for accepted class: 1350–1420
- Average GPA for accepted class: 3.8–4.1
- Acceptance rate at VSB: 27 percent
- Applications to VSB: Doubled during past 2 years
- Median salary for VSB grads: $50,000

villanova was ranked 12 last year and now theyre not in the top 50. i just dont understand how that can happen in one year, and leads me to think that the list is complete BS.

I don't want to defend U.S.News, but people who say Business Week is "better" are completely delusional. Business week is completely skewed based on peer assessment also, even worse than U.S.News.

8 Brigham Young (Marriott) Provo, Utah

some how a school with an average SAT score of about 1000 and no recruitment base beat Berkeley and Cornell among others

Again, US News ONLY uses peer assessments. Business Week also uses the following:

Number of graduates who have jobs upon graduation.
Average starting salary for graduates.
Rating the students themselves give their school.
Rating company recruiters give all the business schools.
Placement into top MBA programs.

Umm, BYU isn't bad at all. BW says their average SAT is 1220 or whatever. Not too bad. You also have to keep in mind that BYU has very specific majors. I can't remembers, but the concentrations are like accounting, management, and one other. With a huge focus on just those several programs, it makes for a great education without the entire "electives" and all that other crap.
