what was your major bceagles?
I too want to transfer to BC, specifically CSOM. I'm kinda having a bad first semester as a freshman as well.

congrats to #2,#3!
zakaqel, may I ask you a question? How did you get the position of Research Assistant? Is there any chance for freshman(1st semester) to become a research assistant? I asked my academic advisor the question and got the answer that only juniors and seniors could attend official reserach group. there are unofficial research groups for sophomore also. But there is none for freshman. :( do you think it is important for a freshman standing applicant to have research experience? Thank you!

If you go to a big school, it is relativly easy to get a research position at a lab. Just go up to one of your professors and tell them that you'd be interested in working with them. They'll usually tell you to schedule an appointment so they get an idea of "why you want to do research." If you convince them, they'll take you.

I started working in in the lab during the summer of my freshman year. I didn't have any previous experience.

Wow some schools are already released results? CA schools aren't until like June 09 ;o

Kmzizzle, they're transferring next semester, not in the fall.

oh, should add that to the topic then since most ppl transfer in the fall :P

(yawn).. we're going to have to make a new results thread
