2010 AP United States History Discussion

[AP Pass - AP Test Calculators, Study Guides, and Resources](http://www.appass.com)

Decently accurate score calculator.

106 seems kind of low…

Here are my predictions

Multiple Choice: I feel confident about these. I was unsure about 20 or so questions, but I only skipped two. 55-60

DBQ: Felt good about the topic. I’m not sure how well it was written. I tried to use eight documents in moderation. 4-7

FRQ Part B: I knew the basic outside information and I analyzed how each event or person tied to my thesis. I wasn’t organized, though. 4-6

FRQ Part C: I felt like my choice was easy to write, but I didn’t elaborate on it too much. I didn’t use as much outside info or in-depth analysis as I’d hoped. 4-6.

On the AP Pass calculator, it would equate to a borderline 5.

Once again, the AP pass calculator seems really low.

Was the test last year really hard?

What does everyone think the cutoff for a 5 will be this year… I hope its around 109-110 and not 120 like someone previously suggested

I heard that the test last year was really easy… at least, that’s what all the seniors said.

For those of you who believe the ap pass calculator is low, it is in fact one of the lower grading curves, but it is also one of the most recent curves I was able to find. It was legitimately used on an actual test within a few years, but if you feel that it is still too low, that is why it also displays your composite score

Any one has past ap USH released exam? Thank a lot!

anybody think its possible to get a 5/9 on the dbq with only using 2-3 documents, but with plenty of outside info??

^Yes, it’s possible. Somebody posted earlier that their teacher went to a APUSH workshop and intentionally wrote a DBQ without any documents and the teacher scored a 7. Depending on how well written your DBQ was, I think it’s possible that you scored a 5/9 with just 2-3 documents.

[Here’s the post](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/886404-2010-ap-united-states-history-discussion-33.html#post1064823079</a>)

^ I highly doubt that lol.

I have a question:

I wrote essay 5 before essay 3 because I liked the topic more and i needed more time to think for essay 3. I marked on top the right numbers. Is that fine?

^Yes, i’m positive that it’s fine. It doesn’t matter what order you do your essays as long as you mark them correctly on that box that they give you at the top.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be, as long as you have the numbers at the top.

Awesome, I wasn’t toooo worried about it, just popped to my mind and wanted to make sure.

I slacked all year but I think I got…
MC: 35-40 correct, 24-28 left blank (i only reached question 70)
DBQ: about a 5 - I sort of liked the topic but could not think of any outside info but my analysis was good

FRQ 3: 5 - same as the DBQ but i put some outside information, one of them I named the wrong state Xd

FRQ 5: 6 - I did really good on this one, I linked immigration to suburbanization good. But left out a few minute details.

So I calculated about a 3. A 4 at the best.

Do you know what the general difference is between the two forms? Are the asnwer choices just different or mixed up or are the questions themselves reordered?

I think I may have switched marking mine on the answer sheet my accident so if you guys can tell me some way to identify which one I had that would be nice… I remember the test fairly well so that might help…

PM me or post here if you can.

you guys gotta start making the answer list

^ We can’t. We’re not allowed to disclose the MC questions, ever.

Guys if you wanted to get a 9 on the DBQ you had to:

!.Use all the documents or all but one
2.2 Points of View(if the speaker is bias, etc.)
3.Somewhere in you essay saying there needs to be an additional document to help your thesis.
4.Have a clear and strong thesis.
5.Good Analysis
6.Plenty of outside infomation

You can misinterpret 1 document and still get a 9(so in technically you can not use 2 documents =D)

MC i think it was alright, a few were worded weridly but hoping 57-60
DBQ 6-8
Essay 1 5-7
Essay 2 6-8

^

I think your thinking of Ap world history.
