Hey pentaligin, what does your email say? mine says I have already been contacted for invitation. I never received any such invitation email/call.

yeah I am really confused. It says by now you’ve already been contacted. This is the first contact I’ve ever gotten… it is what it is

haha and it already has the interview date fixed for us lol.

RE: Yale-Columbia Conflict

Thanks for the response. I emailed Columbia today and will be going the 18-19th.

alright! still out of breath…got an interview at princeton (molecular biology) via phone. super excited!

okay, word from stanford, they’re still in conference and nothing has gone out yet (if you couldn’t tell already)

@rdwrer: which program

neuroscience

k sorry to bother you guys again with this, but I am going to try one more time,

has anyone gotten an interview from harvard’s biological sciences in public health program, or know anything about when they will given them out??

thanks!!!

@ pentaligin : can I ask to you that where are you from ?? It will be a helpful information to many other international applicants.

somebody is posting on grad cafe that he received a call and noted that "top 10% were invited’ (stanford neuro).

… is at odds with…

i am quite confident that my information is accurate. :P

btw less than top 10%. top 6% actually by my calculation.

MIT Biology has sent out interviews today, as well.

so is it standard procedure to not be notified at all if you’re rejected from a program?

MolSysBio:

One of the schools I applied to explicitly stated that it would not notify you if you are rejected, but I think that is the norm.

most programs will not notify you of rejection until after interview weekends have been held. you’ll figure it out for yourself.

wow, so you’re in limbo until about mid to late february? i would at least appreciate a rejection letter…it would make me feel like i paid 80 bucks for something…

so it seems like noone in this forum got MIT biology invite.

^^ i find that hard to believe, especially in a forum with probably 20-30 well qualified applicants.
