2011 Fall Quarter .. September 21!? Am I reading this wrong!?

So I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way, but I went online to see when classes would start if I attend OSU next fall…and unless my eyes are playing tricks with me, it said September 21?! I know they run on quarters and are switching to semesters in Summer 2012, but if I end up attending I am going to feel SO weird not leaving for college until the middle of September. I don’t know what I will do with all that time? And then get out in June:( Oh well though, at least they will be switching to semesters by my sophomore year. I still can’t get over this though! what does everyone else think of this?!

you have it right

i know. lots of people from my school go to OSU and they say that they are going crazy that they have to wait so long to go to college! everyone else starts so mich earlier and you you just wanna go

it’s gonna kill me! but it will probably be worth it  i will be glad when they start semesters though haha

That wait is absolutely crazy! Most of my friends started college this year a full month earlier.

Here is the academic calendar forward

I was able to use the early part of my summer to take another college course. Just make sure it is something that will count at OSU. Then I was able to take it easy later in the summer when everyone else was stressing out over leaving for college.

Sign up for Camp Buckeye and to be an OWL. You will get to be on campus before all the other freshmen move in. It helps shorten the time you are waiting for school start plus you get to settle into your dorm before the crowds arrive. It is easy to make friends with fellow new freshman because the groups are small. Most freshman find being an OWL a great thing because there are also a lot of fun activities planned.

I agree, be an OWL if you can. I enjoyed helping people and getting settled in early.
