2011 January SAT: Math

x = 2y
y= 1/3w

What is the ratio of w^2 to x^2.

Got 9 to 4

i got 9 for the even number combo one.

the slope was -4… the points were (0,5) and (2,-3)

can anyone say what the two “4” fr are

Kimchee, I got 9 possible pairs and i got -4 for the slope one

i got 4 for the slope…

man… i might have did 3 to 2… forgot to square

what was 1/3 the answer to

could someone explain why it was -4? not trying to argue, but just see why i got it wrong if the answer isn’t 4

Anyone remember the MC on the units digit being 4 times that tens digit

was the knitting thing experimental?

slope = rise/run

over the x interval [0,2] it went down 8 (-8). -8/2 = -4. You just forgot the negative.

Did anybody else have section 5 and 6 math back to back?

@iwishicould Im not sure, but what did you get?

i chose the one that was a multiple of 7, because i remember narrowing them down to that option and the one that said “must be less than 20 or sthg” but it can be bigger than 28 because 8 is 4x 2

thanks drillkid!

I left it blank :</p>

I got it must be a multiple of 4…i dunno why lol it’s wrong.

First number I thought of to test it proved it incorrect. Ugh why didn’t I test it. Stupid me

Anyone else think the curve will be 800-770-750-730?
Personally I thought it was easier than the Oct 2010 one. Dunno about the others since I didn’t take em.

Agree with 61 & 1080. There was a 420 and a 4 along there somewhere in my answers.
For the summation one, if you have a TI-89 plug in Σ((1/((i)(i+1))),i,1,50) and you get 50/51.

The overlap length I got was 2.

What was the question for “256”?

btw the multiple of 7 answer was for dumb24
