the only team i care about is the mavericks. they’re making me believe again. ugh. they always let me down. that’s why i gave up on them. but sure enough, they try to make me believe again.

go mavericks!

go mavericks!

A Lakers vs. Celtics final for the 3rd year in 4 years? Hell no. That would really show the lack of parity in the NBA, not that there is much to start with.

Some observations:

1) Stick a fork in LA, cause they’re done.

2) The Heat don’t look strong as much as the Celtics look lethargic and old.

3) D Rose baby!

It almost breaks my heart to see all the bandwagon Laker fans on facebook upset.

Almost.

What a difference three weeks make! Predicting the results of playoffs is problematic.

Mavs - Heat finals rematch maybe?

^I’m feeling it

I’m thinking Thunder-Bulls or Mavs-Bulls. An epic PG duel between Rose and Westbrook would be sick.

Can’t wait for the ECF though. Heat “fans” are the fairest of the fair weathers, I want to revel in their shame after the Bulls kick their asses like they did in March.

Lakers go out with class.

That was one of the best basketball games I’ve ever watched. All those 3’s! Laker fans really need a big slice of humble pie.

Well, that was a fascinating ending.

Laker fans will never eat humble pie.

^haha I totally agree. I’m glad they’re gone.
But the surprise of the Playoffs, Memphis! My team’s out (Knicks), and even though I’m a Thunder and Bulls fan as well, I love rooting for the underdog.

One has to feel for Phil. Carlisle’s comment about smoking peyote in Montana was priceless. As far as the Lakers, it seems they wanted the season to end. They defended like a HS girl team.

Phil deserved better than such dismal display of poor efforts and thugery by most of his players.

Lakers played terrible pick and roll defense. Dirk would set screens on the perimeter for Kidd or Barea and end up wide open after the Lakers failed to switch. So many missed assignments. Guess they forgot Dirk shoots 52%. Terry was also sick, 9 of 10 from arc. Ridiculous.

This round’s two marquee series are looking less dramatic than expected. It’s hard to see Boston digging themselves out of this hole.

Whoo Hoo!! Go Heat!! :)

I wonder whether this dispels the notion that the Heat can’t win close games.

Regarding Lakers: Anyone else feel that Phil was rather rude in not thoroughly shaking Rick Carlslie’s hand, or Jason Kidd for that matter? It was so brief and not at all genuine. In spite of all his achievements, he can be more respectful as a person I think.

Nah I like his cockiness. Phil is the boss.

Phil Jackson has always been a ***bag. Any recent ***baggery shouldn’t be a surprise at all.
