Congratulations to everyone who’s earned interviews! I got interviews via email from MIT Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Johns Hopkins Neuroscience yesterday, and Yale BBS Neuroscience via phone today, so they’ve started to go out. Best of luck!

I just got an email from Yale Physiology, for Feb 10-12.

Sorry for causing a panic about Emory MMG. I have an interview invitation already because I met with the adcom chair in Sept when I was in town to present at a conference. To my knowledge they have not sent out invitations and began reviewing applications on January 3rd.

@CompuBio I received my interview invitation for Dartmouth MCB via email on Dec 22nd. The interview weekend is Feb 17-20, and if you can’t make that the alternate weekend is Feb 24-26. The second weekend has one less day of activities though. I will be attending the second weekend because the first weekend conflicts with Cornell Weill IMP’s only interview weekend.

@virushunter

When/how did you hear back from Yale?

For the interview invitation, I was called by Yale on Dec. 20th, and then received an email confirming the invitation on Dec. 24th.

Once again, congrats to all!

I asked this before already, but I am just so worried! I already got an interview invite via phone at Duke, but I still haven’t received an email with more information about it since I got the invite Dec. 20th.

Is anyone else in this situation with Duke or another school?

I got interview invitations from Yale,Cornell and Columbia. All of them are in Feb. I am still waiting for more invitations from other schools.

Got an interview at UMD school of medicine in baltimore. Nice to hear word from someone!

I understand that there are 255 NS Applicants, and 143 CB Applicants to Emory. It’s a busy year, folks!

@superpiepie - A few hours after I got a phone call from Duke, the professor emailed me CC-ing the administrator. The administrator then contacted me via email about interview arrangement details. I applied to the development biology program. This all happened within the past few days. I wouldn’t worry about not hearing from them yet. I think it depends on the dept.

See you both at interview superpiepie and cellculture… Congrats on the interview at duke

@cellculture anybody in particular in the development program you like?

Cornell and Columbia chose week days for interviews. But I have busy classes. it is hard to schedule the flights.

What department are you part of Neurosci?

phamachem -> So tell the instructors of those classes that you’ll be missing a few class sessions. That is really, really not an issue. They’ll be completely understanding, and even if they’re not, so what? These interviews are far more important.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone heard from Yale BBS the MCGD track?

I applied to(immunology):

UConn
Boston U
Yale BBS MCGD track
Emory
UPenn
Tufts

No interviews yet :(

Anyone heard from Yale if so when did you submit your apps?

@immuno2011, I’m not sure if you’re domestic or international, but I know that Yale MCGD sent out the first round of interviews in December for domestics at the least (lots of people on this forum heard then). Not to worry though, they still have the entire second interview weekend to fill probably this week or next. I’m keeping my fingers crossed… Emory also just started reviewing applications so don’t worry about that one yet :)

Does anyone have info on Weill ALLIED? Weill Cornell IMP (Immunology And Microbial Pathogenesis) I’ve seen sent out some invites, but anyone for ALLIED?

Also, as a general question, how much notice do these schools give you to schedule flights? My coworker said it can be as little as a week before sometimes that they invite you. I guess I’m trying to tell when to stop hoping when I know the date of the interview weekend.

Thanks all and congrats

UPenn update from the admissions office:

Contacted the office and they said they’re still going through apps and not all invites have been sent out. Admissions committees are still meeting.

Biology123 was that the general BGS office you spoke to at Penn or was it a specific dept?

Also I saw on gradcafe that someone heard from Princeton QCB has anyone hear heard from them?

Hi Everyone, I just received an invitation to interview at UNC-Chapel Hill (BBSP). Best of Luck!
