Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any ideas how to politely cancel an interview that was already confirmed? I am just sitting in front of my computer at a complete loss as to what to say.

@UCNeuro2011
@cellculture

I’m waiting on UCSD and Stanford Neuro programs, too… post if you hear anything?

Has anyone heard from Harvard BBS yet?

As everyone seems to like to know where everyone has heard from:
(All applications to the neuroscience or equivalent department)

Have interviews: Harvard, UCSF, Columbia
(Still waiting to hear from NYU, UCSD, UCB, MIT, Stanford)

Was unable to get the earlier UCSF interview weekend, so am anxious about what I will do if I get Stanford, as they overlap… But I guess will just have to wait and see what happens, anyhow.

According to TheGradCafe, Berkeley Neuroscience has started sending out interview emails (at least there are two entries in there for berkeley neuro)

Georgetown Tumor biology invite(yay!)…the dates are Jan 24 and Feb 18

Just got a “prepare to receive an email” email from UConn BMS. Don’t know if it is a good sign, but I would be pretty sad if it turned out to be a “prepare to receive rejection” email!

Just got an invite to UGA genetics! Their interview weekend is Jan 27-29.

Hey, does anyone know if Columbia (integrated) has sent out invites/finished sending invites yet?

I got an invite today from Baylor Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine!

Baylor College of Medicine TBMM:
January 27-29, 2011
February 17-19, 2011

Tufts Integrated Studies Program:
Jan 28, Feb 18, or Feb 28

TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY!

Just got an invite from University of Minnesota Neuroscience.

@Silvercrescent: Nice to know Weill is taking some international students. I interned in Germany

I’m domestic but I have a friend who’s international (applied to ALLIED) and is really worried. I’m really excited about Weill because there’s a multitude of professors I’m interested in. Plus they seem to have a number of collaborations going with Sloan Kettering, Rockerfeller, etc. Seems like a great environment. Plus NYC!

Viel Glück! Is immuno the same weekend as allied? If it is see you there!

@Zip240 Yep, I’ll post if I hear anything. Has anyone heard anything from UCLA or UCSF? Now that I have heard from one (UCI), I am anxious to hear from them all!

I don’t know if the person who asked was still wondering, but I received an interview invite from UW-Madison Cancer biology before Christmas (Dec. 22nd, I think).

Did anyone apply to the Cancer biology program at the University of Minnesota? I did and haven’t heard from them yet, so I wanted to know if I should be worried or not.

Does anyone have any personal thoughts/experiences with Baylor College of Medicine?

I was planning on interviewing but my mentor immediately balked and recommended I cancel the interview and stick with some of the other higher “ranked” schools I have interviews at. I was personally rather excited about visiting…

@DeisGrad:

I currently work as a tech at Baylor, and have been here for a couple of years. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me and I can give you my email. Same goes for anyone else.

biowwlaw: I haven’t seen any posts about interviews from Harvard BBS yet. I’m still waiting on that one too.

good luck :)

anyone heard from Stanford Biosciences Cancer Biology yet, and anyone else going to Sloan kettering next week? see you there :)

Interview invite via email to UC Davis Microbiology. Dates are February 11th and 12th.
