how did you learn how many international applicant applied to Harvard BBS ? I was wondering because i could not reach them via phone.

Hi sherman,

I inquired in June already, and got the info from the BBS’ secretary. Are you international, too?

@ashmaniac09

yeap i am international, from Turkey. waiting for interview invitations. Do you have any idea how they,Harvard BBS, notify international students regarding decision ?

my guess is that international candidates will receive an email, although I am not sure. where else did you apply to?

I applied to MIT bio, UCSF Tetrad, Weill Cornell Allied, Sloan Kettering, Scripps (Biology Track), WashU (MOl Bio), Princeton (Mol Bio), Harvard (MCB& BBS)

potentially rejected : MIT bio, UCSF tetrad.
interview: Sloan Kettering
waiting: the rest
what about u ? i know you got very good interviews/ admission up to know

I have admission to Rockefeller and UC Berkeley, and an interview with UMich PIBS. Still waiting for the rest (MSSM, Columbia, Harvard BBS, UCSF Tetrad, UT Southwestern)

why do you think you got rejected from Tetrad? Have all the interview invites gone out?

i don’t think TETRAD is over yet, many posted that their invites come in waves (I’m waiting for it too). Also, I confirmed with UCSD Biological Sci the other day that they are still reviewing apps, in case people are waiting for that one as well.

@sirtuin: I’m so jealous of your stanford invite! I really wanted to go there. Did it look like it was a batch email sent to all interviewees?

Does anyone know if there is an alternative date than the 16-18th for the Allied Program at Weill?

And for Cold Spring Harbor, what is the chance of getting accepted after an interview?

yes, @gradTomorrow, i talked to someone at cornell and it seems that they are still reviewing applications and that another date will most likely be set up

@ashmaniac09,

i called and asked them,tetrad, the guy said" unfortunately you are not on the list". I do not know whether they sent all the invitation.

@ladeeda119

Probably was sent to all cancer bio interviewees? I got the email too this morning

sherman, I sent you a PM :)

Anyone applied to Biostatistics program at Harvard School of Public Health?

has anyone heard from UNC-BBSP or Vanderbilt-IGP in january? i know they sent out invites back in december…

@ladeeda

Yeah, it looked like a form email. It did have a copy of my personal interview offer attached.

@whoever asked

I’m a domestic applicant to genetics and genomics

@mantidguy

I concur - you look like a strong candidate, minus the GRE score. Retake it. Good luck!

So - to clarify - Stanford and Harvard don’t do waves; just send things out at once over the course of a few days? Is that accurate?

…I’m a little bummed that I haven’t heard from Stanford, but mostly just happy about UCSF. :)
