2012 Final Decisions

The Music Majors forum has a list like this and I know that the Dance Major kids that are seniors this year are a smaller group but I thought we should still acknowledge our dancers' achievements anyway!

I will start...

My DD has (after a lot of heavy consideration) decided to attend University of the Arts in Philadelphia as a Dance - BFA major with a possible minor in Music Business and Technology (hoping the schedule will work out).

This was a difficult decision because of the high cost of UArts. However, thankfully there was a nice scholarship package involved (not exactly full tuition but then how likely is that anyway?). Still, a good percentage of her tuition will be covered.

Anyone else want to make the big announcement?

My daughter will attend The Ohio State University , Dance BFA, possible double major in one of the Liberal Arts- depends on how many AP credits she ends up with, I guess.
They have a terrific Dance department and I recommend looking into it. Even though the university is huge, they only take about 25 BFA students each year, so there are no more than 100 students in the whole department.

My DD just completed her first year as a Dance major at Slippery Rock University. Happy to say she is doing very well there and just loves it. She can’t imagine doing anything else besides dance. She also just declared her minor - Adaptive Physical Activity. She would like to devote some of her time to teaching special needs kids dance.
