<p>what should I wear on the plane ride if I’m being picked up by one of the current students… Flight gets in at 5:00pm and i have a “group dinner” that evening. I’m assuming I’ll be able to go to the hotel and change before the dinner but should I dress business casual or would jeans be ok… (I know this is kind I trivial but it’s a long plane ride)</p>
<p>As someone who does a fair amount of business travel, I would suggest pulling together a business casual outfit that is both comfortable, neat looking and can go right to your dinner function. (There are plenty of stretchy dress pants out there!) With travel being as it is, you can’t assume you’ll have time to change and you wouldn’t want to go to dinner in jeans. Good luck!</p>

What’s funny is that I just asked about if people had heard from Caltech and then someone asked if any institutions hadn’t sent out invites and then I realized that I didn’t know whether Caltech had sent them … Which was funny… Laughing at myself, that’s all…</p>
<p>Just got invited from UCSD - Biomedical Sciences (BMS) program for biophysics. First round of interviews are on Feb 9-12th and second round is around feb 23-26th.</p>
<p>January 17th and I still have only heard back from ucsf and case western ( rejection and interview respectively) . I was so hopeful id be invited to ONE California school as they are my top, but now my hopes are dwindling. No word from irvine, Berkeley, Stanford micro and immuno, ucla access, scripps, Georgetown, Upenn, or Emory.</p>
<p>From all those I know Georgetown is still reviewing apps.</p>

<p>@lost in elysia, i’ve talked with the PI i work with at Stanford, and come departments have not sent out snail mail announcements yet (even though most said they sent out last week). I know some departments were still sending out today</p>
<p>Yeah, you should be receiving a large envelope containing the Stanford Biosciences brochure and all of the information in the e-mail document.</p>
<p>It’s pretty much the e-mail… but it was nice to receive a hard copy in the mail. :)</p>
<p>son get invitation by EM from UCSF ibqb. It conflicts with Princeton QCB. How do you deal with this ? Call Department to ask for another day ?</p>

<p>Should try to ask if they have 2 interview dates. UCSD’s first interview date coincides with Yale’s. Fortunately, UCSD offers 2 interview dates, so I was able to arrange that. UCSF may have another date…?</p>

<p>@lost in elysia, I got the packet in the mail. It contained a lot of info that I didn’t get in the email, but I think my home program didn’t really include any info in our emails. The email basically just said we were invited and that an info packet would follow.</p>
