I remember you from last year, and I see you plan on transferring out of UCLA into UCSD. I’ve been accepted into UCSD and I would like to know if it would it be okay if I PM’d you to find out why you would prefer leaving UCLA?
Unless, it would be okay to discuss it in this thread

@HopingtoXfer I followed instructions from Sarah97’s post from last year ! Log into URSA and look for the enrollment menu. Once you are there, enter in Summer 2013 and hit submit. A contract telling you that if you add a class, you WILL PAY a $150 fee, will come up. Click that you understand and hit continue. You will see a menu with paw prints that say add/drop class, etc. DO NOT ADD A CLASS. Just Log out of URSA. In 10 minutes, Log back in and it will prompt you for an email address. You will also be able to access MYUCLA.

@yymbio I think we should all just RELAX. Signs will start showing up in the upcoming week even though I wish they would come sooner :)

@cwtina1234 Ah ha. Thanks for that. I have a ucla.edu email listed now. I decided to change it back to my personal email in case that messed up the routing of their correspondence with me. Logged in to myUCLA and the section below my name is blank.

@HopingToXfer Yeah my myUCLA has my name above the bear and a section that says “Welcome to UCLA!” with info below to “Continue to Classmates” where yours says “Classmates.”

The bar for MYUCLA on my account changed to Summer sessions student after a few minutes. People who are accepted will be able to see their Major and ‘Admit’ closer to the decision date.

As mentioned before, I am not claiming any of this is an indication of a decision; I don’t think this method holds a lot of water. I’m only speculating out of boredom.

If you type into google “UCLA Campus Directory” and then type in your name, see if your name pops up! I think your name should pop up if you are considered a summer session student. Its kind of cool to see your name there though :)

It seems like quite a few people who were accepted last cycle saw the stuff in the MyUCLA White Banner change from Summer Session to their major after the 3am update; although decisions are still quite a few days away, maybe some of us will see these changes after 3am?? Not sure if it means anything even if we do, but anything to try to make time go by faster!

Also, @Katdawg1, I am not able to see myself in the directory and like I said earlier, I’m almost 100% rejected from UCLA. Not sure if my name will be there tomorrow after any updates, but as of now, it’s not there! So, who knows, may be a hint haha.

@ bsfswisher Noooo don’t say that! I think we are all in the same boat here with not knowing what is a positive indicator or not. So I have no clue, I’m just stating things that I noticed. Good luck though! Dont worry about all of this speculation yet!

By the way, I’m guessing that maybe you aren’t in directory system until like 24 hours after you receive your UCLA email address. I checked last night and I wasn’t in the directory yet, so I think that’s how it works maybe!

@Katdawg1 I completely agree that we can’t really make anything of this speculation yet! But, I think/know I’m rejected because UCLA told me that of all classes at UCSC for political science (I’m intercampus transfer) only 1 satisfies a pre-req for polisci, which happens to also be impacted at UCLA, so I applied with literally 1 pre-req LOL. My GPA is decent, but I doubt even a 4.0 is enough for UCLA to be okay with only 1 pre-req. Thanks for the encouragement though! lol
