^ Yup, October 15th is the date. The school that I interviewed at this past week will meet the Friday before, and they said that they might do phone calls on the 15th. Fingers crossed.

My son has two MMIs next month (NYU & Rutgers RWJ).

TatinG,

The randomness of the process stood out for me too. So far, my son has 9 interviews, 1 pre-interview hold, 0 rejections and no news from 17 others. From here on, if it’s not Mayo, CCLCM or a top 10 school he will have to think hard before accepting an invite.

I wonder if interview invitations are coming slower this year because of the slower than usual verification process and the delayed start date.

Kal
I also have NYU next month - I tried to do schedule all my NY interviews together , but did not work out.
I finished CCLM and Cornell last week and going to Mayo next week.
Cornell interview was very relaxed.

MMI -not sure there is a right or wrong answer for those questions. Challenging questions , but enjoyable as well.

Plum- I am doing three. If I get any more from NY I am going to turn it down. my flights cost 250-300 at least each time. My flight got cancelled last week after Cornell interview and I had to( rather my dad ) pay another 300 for a room .

My whole interview expense ( funded by parents ) ~ 10,000 so far.

Yes, ours is up to about $7,000 so far for application fees, clothes, airfares, Supershuttles, etc.

Texaspg, we are paying for our eventual ‘concierge’ service up front. The doctor’s mother will always get a prompt appointment and special handling. :)

I guess they’ve never heard of Skype for the interviews, which could be followed by visits after acceptances for applicants choosing between two or more schools.

@texaspg, each one is a little different but most travel (including local transportation) hotels and meals are covered. The restaurants have been top notch :)
