This will probably be the class that I get my first B in

We got progress reports today - currently holding an A in the class…

My class just finished the Age of Jackson. Where is everyone else? Thanks

heyoh, good luck little people

We are on the War of 1812.

Last year my friend told me that I would get my first B of the year in this class. Lo and behold, lowest quarter grade in 3 years, 2nd quarter B in high school, and only B first quarter of junior year, 89.09 in AP U.S. History!

Anyways, my school used to have 2 AP USH teachers, but now it only has one. We use the “American History Connecting with the Past: AP Edition” textbook by Alan Brinkley. We’re on Ch. 11, which is during the antebellum period. Right now, I’ve done all of my homework except what I have to do for AP USH. My procrastination isn’t helping me, but I got a 93 on the first test and a 96 on the first quiz of the second quarter.

Somehow I have an A in APUSH, but the class is pure evil. Also I feel like we are underprepared, how far into history are you guys/how many DBQs have you done?

Just about to start the Age of Jackson. Only one DBQ so far…

We’ve done a DBQ and a FRQ. My teacher is very far behind compared to the other APUSH teacher at our school. We just finished the War of 1812, while the other teacher is about five chapters ahead…

Hope all the new APUSHers are enjoying the class
Revolution sucked didn’t it?

I took APUSH last year and while it was hard I am super happy I took it.
A word of advice: Just calm down! It can be a hard class but it will be entirely worth it and you will do better in the future.

We’re in the 1860s. Moving fast but very unprepared. We’ve only done 1 DBQ and 2 FRQs and my teacher hasn’t graded any of them.

We got through the election of 1840 and social reforms during that time period. We’ve done three FRQs so far and zero DBQs.

We’re up to the start of the civil war; the last thing we talked about was the secession of South Carolina, the formation of the Confederacy, and Fort Sumter. We’re starting the civil war after Thanksgiving.

We just started civil war. we have an awesome teacher! I LOVE the class! After Thanksgiving we will have a quiz on chapter 15.

How are you guys making study guides for your finals for this class? I’m worried because there is a lot of stuff to remember and apply.

My APUSH class is so easy it scares me. I don’t know if that is a good thing or bad thing considering we are not using American Pageant

Well, i just ordered The essential content for apush - $18 and cliffnotes for AP lang- 18$ . I really based my choices of reviews on this website, please dont let me down guys… did i make the right decision or would u guys recommend any other book?=) i really dont want a reapeat of 3’s on euro and psych like last year.

I heard the Crash Course for APUSH is really good. One of my friends used it and got a 5 easily. He said it really condensed the material into understandable chunks.

My question: is it good to take AP Gov/Pol along with APUSH or is there little overlap and can be taken after doing APUSH?

I have that book. I should start using it. :p

I took AP gov last year. This year I’m taking APUSH. there is quite a bit of overlap. so this year I feel good in APUSH and I answer a lot of questions in the class because of what I learned last year. :)

bump this thread…

Which chapter are you doing? We just finished chapter 11. We might be a little behind.
