2013 Dartmouth Transfers - Accepted and Going

**It’s a letter from Dartmouth financial aid, stating:

“Welcome to the Dartmouth College Class of 2017!”

It’s the official acceptance package from Dartmouth’s financial aid office, and I guess the acceptance letter will be mailed later this week. Although I did miss a call from the Dartmouth area code earlier. It looks like this was mailed the same day the Mich guy got his acceptance email.

Normally I’d take a grain of salt, but it’s addressed to me and I ahave accepted my offer :DDD

I guess my further acceptance packet will be coming monday

i am not ashamed to admit i cried. This is a turning point in my life

^in case anyone wondered, its going to say 2017 since it’s clearly a default package

*yeah i verified by emailing an admin’s personal email. Occasionally they make personalized ones to the year, but its late in the game and they were in a hurry. This one had my name and everything though. So look out for it! It’ll come in a big envelope, but not a thick one. Most of the stuff is online

If you are coming as a transfer, the default package is not 2017(freshman admissions). Your package would have your year (if you are coming in as a sophomore it would be 2016, 2015 if you are a junior year transfer.

Then I’m sure it’s a mistake in their part. Either way I’m ecstatic!

And that’s what an adcom said MIGHT have happened sorry. Have a bad habit of writing as if I’m assertive.

See yall in Hanover. Btw what may have helped is that a department head of my intended major (which currently has no students) petitioned to the head of admissions. But idk

*edit, maybe they’re dropping me to 2017. They would deff have reasons for doing so…whatever. FA is fantastic.

And housing options all suck

And one more thing- are there still guided tours? I’ve never visited

one more more thing, it does say transfer student. No loans bebeeeee

Congrats freely. Why do you say housing options suck? Dartmouth has some wonderful dorms, with many singles and two room doubles. There are some dorms that are physically than others, but most students end up loving their housing community.

That was a joke haha, I’m sorry if it didn’t go through. I study at ND where the dorms are AWFUL (esp in my hall), so Dartmouth is a godsend. I love the housing community concept to a degree, but I fully intend on moving into frat row as soon as possible. The Greek community, for me, makes Dartmouth.

Thanks so much, I’m grateful for this wonderful opportunity, and I hope that I can make the most of it. I also hope that I was right, and that waitlist admissions keep on going.

^got it. My D is a 14, and she loves her sorority and the Greek life at Dartmouth. She loves Dartmouth, and she is thankful every day that she got in. She just doesn’t want to graduate. Congrats!

congrats freefly, sounds well deserved.

I’m assuming most acceptances have been sent out by this point and the rest of wait listed candidates are very unlikely to get off the wait list. Oh well…

Remember the ridiculous comment about Republicans and optimism?

Well…all I can say is keep your head up and hope. Don’t give up until it’s all over

i’m wondering if that FA thing could have been a possible indicator, haven’t heard from 2013transfer guy, maybe he got in too

also if it is postmarked the 12th maybe the rest of us might get it later in the mail, given that your in mid atlantic (closer to Hanover than Cali lol)

I hope it is, but I figure it’s standard. Apparently my dad actually did make a fafsa update the day before

actually I take that back, you got a call earlier today so that would have been your acceptance right there. Anyway, hoping for the best for the rest of us. gotta keep the playing the game.

No call at all, just the letter. Very williams-esque

By the way, shoot me a PM
