So, I’m wondering what the change for bio means… Not too many students applying for it anymore? Less strict requirements to transfer? This definitely made me more hopeful!!

All that are still waiting to hear, please post as soon as you get the acceptance so the rest of us will know that we might hear soon, later that day. Thank you, in advance. Good luck!

I tallied last years applicants for ucsd based on change in housing message from the 2012 board. There were 22 people who both said the status of their housing as well as what their decision was. 10 out of 10 people that had the message change also got in. Out of the 12 people that didn’t have the change on their housing status 9 were waitlisted, 2 were rejected, and 1 was accepted. Mind you they first noticed the change on April 9th and people were still having their statuses change up to the day of acceptances on April 20th. Also many many people never came back and said whether they got in or not so the sample is relatively small.

@ucplease42 Good work. I appreciate the effort.

My housing message changed also–I don’t know when.
Hope we find out tomorrow…

@hokumpeddler
No problem.

I was tabulating 2011 as well before I had to go to class. It looked as though the trend continued with a few more people whose status did not change getting in. Overall still everyone whose message did change got in.

Also one person each year got the new status, which then reverted back at some point and they were not accepted in the end.

Well then I’ll stay hopeful. My status changed also. :)

My god, the people on this thread have a lot of free time on their hands.

My god, zimzam never fails to make some sort of negative comment.

Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact The Village Residential Services Office at 858-534-9380 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 6pm.

Should I be worried??? :/

^ @aztec I have the same I don’t think it indicates rejection necessarily… but I’d rather see the other message But there’s still time for it to change!

For what it is worth, although I was accepted to UCSD on April 5th, I stilllllll don’t have a UCSD email. So if that is a concern don’t worry. Can’t tell you about the housing because I never looked…

^ I can beat that. I was accepted March 16 (first batch), and I don’t have an email.

So how sure are we that the third batch will be released tomorrow? Cuz couldn’t it theoretically be on the last day of April? knocks on wood

@eyespye what does your housing say now?

When you get accepted, it lets you fill out a housing application. Even if you haven’t submitted your SIR.

Do we know when the last UCSD batch will be released? Are they going to be like UCLA and Berkeley and push it out to the 26th or might it be tomorrow? Any idea?

Sent from my SPH-L710 using CC

They said on their website that they don’t assign emails until after SIR deadline has passed.

I tabulated 2011. Out of the 21 people that had the change in housing status all of them got in. And of the 12 people who didn’t have there status change for housing none of them got in. But minutes before decisions there were released 2 people had there statuses change and they did end up getting in. Half the people that didn’t get accepted were waitlisted and the other half rejected.

welp, this has made me believe my bf is completely screwed since he has the “bad”/unchanged housing message…
