for the question regarding ABCD, correct answer is all 3. I don’t recall the exact measurements so I can’t give a good explanation but just list them in order. A, B , C , D. If you put C to the left of B, D can then move <distance between="" c="" and="" b=""> closer to A. This is an easy question, just need some visualization.</distance>

What about the one with circles?

Last question with the 4 digit thing/2 rules. P^2 < 6 R^2 < 15 (something like that but it doesn’t matter)
P must be an integer less than sqrt(6) which makes 1, 2
R must be an interger less than sqrt(15) which makes 1,2,3
Possible values of P + R = 1 + 1 = 2
1+ 2 = 3
2 + 2 = 4 (or 3 + 1, doesn’t matter)
2+3 = 5 (3+ 2)
2,3,4,5 is 4 values
answer is 4.

@kelvinheree
measurements were BC=3,AB=5,CD=7

I believe I sent you an email because I don’t have enough posts to private message. Never tried this because well… i don’t expect it to help.
But I’m procrastinating so I’m here giving math explanations ._.

Oh,
A B = 5
C between AB is possible because A C B works, AC = 2, BC = 3, AB = 5
D between AB is possible because A D B C works, AD = 1, DB = 4, BC = 3
Don’t remember the 2nd case but I’m sure it works.

Ugh I have taken the sat twice and missed one math question both times for a 770 and 760. Thought I had the 800 but I misread the circle question and put 25/9 :(

II don’t remember triangle = 19 on the grid in. Can somebody clarify??

Can anyone tell me the answer to the student with 76 points on the test?
Still the only one i don’t know for sure.
16 4 point algebra questions and 12 3point geometry questions. If there was no partial credit How many questions did this student miss?
a)7
b)8
c)13
d)14
e)24

Answer is 7.
Im about to sleep so I wont go into the explanations but its 4 questions wrong for the 3 pts, 3 for the 4 points. Thats 24 points lost, which equals the 76.

Like a lot of other people, I missed the question with the circle and put 25/9.
This is my first official SAT and I was hoping to get an 800 on math to impress colleges. So far, the only question I’ve confirmed that I missed was the circle question and I think I did fairly well on my writing and critical reading. On the other hand, I totally bombed the essay because it was a prompt that I had not prepared for prior. I wrote about the National Security Agency with the limited knowledge I knew about it, and my analysis was not deep at all. I did fill out the two pages completely, but that would probably be the best part about my essay.

Getting an 800 in math is really important to me, but I heard that this math section is going to be curved high since it is really easy, meaning that I would get a ~760 on my math score. All factors considered, do you guys think I should cancel and try another chance at an 800 on math?

If you guys are talking about the international test, I took it and don’t recall anything about the 25/9 stuff you guys are talking about, so it might’ve been the experimental.

No International has a different form/test

Sorry, I think I posted in the wrong thread. My question was on the US test.

What’s the question w/ the parallel lines l & k?

24 points! Cuz the average would be 17

Was the salad sandwich question, a hard question? Like was that one of the last two questions in the end???

I think I got 2 multiple choice wrong as well as 1 grid in…what is my possible SAT score with a good or bad curve?

For the circle question, 64/9 is right (or 7.11) BUT did it anywhere say, either in the question or near the diagram, that the figure was NOT drawn to scale? If it did then 64/9 is the answer but if not it will be thrown out as you could have then arrived at 100/9 so 11.1

@jlee picture on the sat is never drawn to scale
