I put it was contrary to historical trends since Passage 2 said that people were all moving to cities after world war II while, in contrast, Passage 1 talked about people living on farms nowadays.

Do any of you guys know what the answer was to the question about the henna articles and it was like what is the attitude of person 2 compared to person 1? I put indifferent because I thought pompous was too extreme but not sure :/

it was critical because they were being critical towards celebs with henna.

pompous would be more stuck up and indifferent would have been like straight facts with no opinion

^

which question was this?

I put critical for that one because I felt like the author of Passage 2 was saying that Hollywood detracted from the value of henna as a means of connecting people… But I wasn’t sure about that one

I put satisfied for that question because I thought that the reader sounded pleased with celebrities promoting the henna. Passage 1 sounded more appreciative and celebratory.

I didn’t really see anything about critical or pompous…too extreme (I think) in these passages.

I thought it was just II and III

The first one celebrated the culture, and the 2nd was critical of culture being taken out of henna usage.

does anybody know the answer to this CR question - (section I)
(regarding the two passages about agriculture)

the author of passage I would find what in lines __ (i forgot) noteworthy? or something like this

the lines were something about cities and people getting food from them or something sorry bad memory

(this was the last question regarding the two agriculture passages)

lol im sorry if you guys have no idea what question im talking about, it’s ok cuz i dont really remember it

No - it was 100 + 50sqrt(3)

was the japanese guy bitter or exasperated?

what was the question regarding submissive/acquiesce and public–/demur?

the author of passage I would find what in lines __ (i forgot) noteworthy? or something like this
^

it was the choice about the magazines and getting stuff from people they know is noteworthy to the author of passage I because it used minimal transportation, which was less fossil fuel.

was the japanese guy bitter or exasperated?

what was the question regarding submissive/acquiesce and public–/demur?
^

exasperated i think.he just seemed frustrated with all his previous translators!

i still think it was submissive/acq but there was a lot of debate. ive just been following along as i do hw

all right, i put exasperated. but idk really, bitter/exasperated are practically synonyms

Do you know what the actual question was? I might have read it wrong, idk

Wasn’t it a triangle with the sides of the triangle 3 and 5?

plus the exclamation mark made me think exasperated

Unfortunately I missed 2 math… ridiculous. how much would that be? 74? Anyway here are the math grid-ins.

6
875
7
1/9
3/8
36
25
1999
4
3

Please correct me if I’m wrong.
…actually no then I’ll be even more torn :|

For #33 or 34 on W, the one about old records, what did you guys get?
(C) long since defunct
(D) be carefully
(E) no error

@johnstucky I put E

do you remember what the final grid question was about?

It was a triangle with sides 5, if my memory is correct…
the triangle is supposed to be divided into a 30-60-90 triangle…so the height is supposed to be 2.5(sqrt 3).
