75% sophomores, 25% juniors

Thanks. Do you think that’s mostly because the Admissions committee favors sophomores (since it’s easier to finish) or is that just a from most of the applicant pool being prospective sophomores?

PennTSO - do you have any knowledge of the LPS process and what their admit rates look like? Shall be submitting here in a few days as a non-trad to LPS

I know it’s already past the deadline ( i already submitted my application) but I’ve had some nagging questions that hope could get answered!

The Penn Admission portal doesn’t have anything regarding the status of the mid-term reports. How do we know if they’ve received it or not?

Do you believe that high school GPA plays a significant contribution to the sophomore transfer process? If so, how much? And would an improvement trend be considered?

I submitted my ACT scores but they are not superscored so I only sent in one report. But common app requests that I write out my highest score for each section! Do I need to send separate report for each of these to verify each subsection or would it not matter because Penn doesn’t superscore anyway?

If you believe that your professor wrote a very generic letter about you (I was not close with the professor, he did not know me very well, yet I was desperate to get a letter), would that “kill” my chances? I do believe that nothing negative was noted (probably positive), but I do not think it was very specific of me either.

What impact do the retained scores have on an applicants portfolio? In my specific case, I retook some tests, achieved much better scores, and sent those in. They put my previous scores to shame, but I am afraid that they will be marginalized while the old scores are still on hand.

for transferring to wharton, the website stated that applicants must have taken a math course equivalent to math 104.
Is it really a requirement, and what would happen if I haven’t taken the class?

What if you get a 4 on Calculus BC and not a 5, would you still have to take math 104 for transferring to Wharton?

If your standardized test scores aren’t that good from HS, does it really matter if you take it again in college and get a higher score? Do you even have to retake the test if you have improved significantly in college?

I’m looking to transfer from a state university in 2014 or 2015. Does Penn look at your HS transcript if you have completed 30 or more credits? Also, should I use my AP scores in Macro and Stats, both of which are 5s, at the state university? Or is simply taking the classes in college better for a transfer.

Was accepted to Penn as a transfer student and am absolutely (shocked) and thrilled!

I am a bit anxious though about credits transferring, especially since Penn has complex gen eds. Could someone speak to the ease of transferring credit? I know Penn recommends submitting a syllabus for credit to transfer as well as papers/projects but I didn’t keep a lot of my school work from this year…Will this ruin my chances of getting credit? For the school work I do have do we upload all of this online to XCAT? Also for a course description what does this look like (do we paste what our school’s description of the course was or is it supposed to be a personal description “My econ class of 20 students studied…”)? Is there a format on XCAT?

Also how can we tell what courses count as Foundational Approaches? On Penn inTouch I only see what courses fulfill sector requirements…

Hey!
I just wanted to know what stats would be required if I want to transfer as a sophomore. For example, GPA, ECs etc.
