That’s a great way to think @intune ! It’s good that your D is thinking of this in a practical manner. It shows great maturity…something you’ll want if she’s going away to one of these large conservatories. I’m sure your D is a very good singer, and there are so many aspects that come into play. It could’ve been a faulty video, bad recommendation…or it could literally mean that you’re talented, but they’re not looking for that type of voice currently. Best of luck to your D at her auditions!

Is anyone else at CCM tomorrow? By the way, I highly recommend the Kingsgate Marriott. Lovely staff, practice rooms set up and a shuttle to the CCM building.

Just an update – called Juilliard to check on my son’s “incomplete application” message in the portal. As it turns out, it always says that for U.S. students, since they don’t require SATs and don’t indicate that they received them even when you send them in (which we did, twice).
The admissions officer told me that they would not be notifying piano students until the end of January.
Is the portal the same as where they submitted their apps?
