@OperaAdri‌, that’s great to hear, my son get a decline from MSM so I thought all NYC schools were going to do the same, although he passed Mannes prescreen, I was not hopeful for Juilliard. I guess there’s still hope!

Sorry, I should have included that her “instrument” is VP/mezzo. She had a few other declines as well. She only has one pre-screen school invitation for a live audition out of six. For one of those she hadn’t completed the application, so I don’t know if that was a factor. It’s been a rough month due to other events, but we are pressing forward. The reduced stress and travel may be a blessing in disguise. As it is, she will probably have six live auditions.

Our D got the decline notification from Eastman today as well. It’s her 18th birthday party tonight, so we’re going to wait until tomorrow to tell her. She spent the past 2 summers at Eastman so it’s going to be devastating. BUT, she has auditions at Mannes (her #2 choice), Ithaca, Oberlin, SUNY-Fredonia and University of North Texas. So far, batting 500. Still waiting on Carnegie Mellon. Rejected by Rice and Vanderbilt. McGill has a later application deadline.
