2014 AP score RESULTS thread

AP Calc AB: 5
I expected either a four or a five on this one, fifty-fifty chance. I messed up on a bunch of the FRQs though.
AP Lang: 5
This one I was not expecting. I thought I had gotten a four for sure.
APUSH: 5
This was the only score I was confident about. The questions and DBQ were a lot easier than expected. Plus, we had done some FRQs that were quite similar.

S1 got:

Spanish 5
Physics 4 in Electro 5 on the other part
Calc BC 5
English 4
Chem 5

D1 got:

World Hist 3

Very excited for both. His scores give him about 40 credits (combined with previous years scores) entering school.

She gets out of Western Civ 1 and 2 in all schools she is considering!

Input your scores by clicking on the link below and commenting in the box that corresponds to the subject and the score you got on it. Foe example, if you got a 5 in APUSH, comment by writing a 5 on F37. (4 if you got a 4, which is E37) If there is already someone that has commented on the box, simply reply the comment by writing a 5 as well. TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO DO THIS. I am doing this not to lower anyone’s self-esteem, but to compare yourself to others on the CC community. Let’s get 1000 scores by tomorrow night. Thank you for the great turnout!! :)

Spanish Language: 4 (A bit disappointed in this, as I walked out of the test room feeling pretty good. But for a non-native speaker, I am quite proud.)
Lit: 5 (Pretty good essays, and I actually enjoyed some of the poetry)
BC Calc: 5 (expected)
Environmental: 5 (honestly, I don’t know who was more sure about my five, my teacher or I)

AP US: 5. Expected it. I kept on getting 90s on class tests before the rather generous curve. A lot of stuff on the test was stuff I already knew before taking the class. Didn’t do any studying. My teacher was fairly good but I honestly didn’t learn much material in his class.

AP English:5 Not sure what to say about this one. The tests at my school are stupidly hard. I mean, you take one look at it and you’re like “is this in English?”. The multiple choice section this year was easy to read (come on, it had a section about RAP MUSIC) and didn’t have any really tricky questions. I kicked butt on the essays. Didn’t really do much studying either, although I did kinda skim the 5STA5 review book. Both teachers I had sucked. One was just a grumpy old witch, the other one spent more time putting on makeup in class than teaching us, and would give us random journal assignments which had pretty much nothing to do with the curriculum. So I guess I should be proud of myself.

AP Chemistry:2. Ooooooohhhhhhh mannnnnnnn. I don’t even know where to start. I’m a science kid if should say so myself AND I worked the HARDEST on it AND my teacher was really good. Jeez, I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do when I go back to schol this August and she runs into me in the hallway and says, " hey, redisthenewblack, how was the test?" Look her straight in the face and tell her I flat out sucked? Oh boy, I have a lot of explaining to do. I got a 105 on the class final but I bombed the AP test. I did EVERYTHING in my power to make sure I could get a 5. I studied my class notes, looked at my teacher’s PowerPoints on the school website, went to Crash Course chemistry and KhanAcademy, used 5STA5 and Barron’s and everything. I tutored my friends who at first weren’t doing so well in the class and now they got 3s and 4s on the test. I was pretty damn devastated when I saw my score. You know what, I’m hoping that the CollegeBoard had a technical error or something and accidentally swapped around my English and Chemistry scores. Yeah, I’m living in a fool’s paradise. But it’s a hell of a lot better than reality.

One of my friends got a 4 in APUSH and all he wrote for one FRQ(the New Right one) was “Ronald Reagan was a man who loved his bacon. In the 1980’s he started a program to increase funding for bacon across America to lift the spirits of Americans everywhere.” and below that he wrote “COLLEGEBOARD SUCK MY (expletive)”

Not sure if this counts, but on the other FRQ which he somewhat tried on, he wrote at the bottom “do you want to build a snowman”

AP Lit: 4
AP Physics B: 4
AP Chem: 3
AP USH: 4

Definitely not what I was hoping for, with Chemistry being the biggest shocker. I was hoping for better with AP Lit, as well.
Well, I’m anxiously awaiting the scoring guidelines for Chemistry…

2014
Calculus AB -5 Not surprised, I think I might have gotten most, if not all, of the MC correct.
Micro - 5 - I thought I might have gotten a 4 on this, the FRQs shocked me
Macro - 5 - Easy
US Gov 5 - Easy
English Lit - 2 - Ehh, I am not surprised

2013
Euro -5
US History -5
Computer Science - 5

2012
WH - 5

I did not expect to pass the English exam as I just was not that great on the MC portion of the test. On all my other exams, I can answer every question and have at least 15 minutes to review my answers, but when it comes to English, I finished at the last second with no time to review my answers.

I am only slightly bothered by not passing the AP English Literature exam because it is the only blemish on my nearly “perfect” AP career.

@RunningForLife: How are you disappointed at those 3 4’s and 2 5’s! The Physics C Mech alone is great, and APUSH and Lit are generally hard tests.
@redisthenewblack: Dude, your friend has got some swag.

Didn’t take any APs this year, but here’s the upcoming year’s APs:
APUSH, AP BC, AP Chem, AP Physics
No sleep for a whole year, yay.

My daughter got her AP Lang and Comp exam back. She didn’t get the score that she wanted. Is it worth it to have them rescore it?

Lit - 4
Calc BC - 4
AB subscore - 4
Stats - 5

Pretty happy overall. Little hit disappointed with calc because like 50% of people who took the exam got 5s, but oh well. congrats to everyone else!

Literature -5 sort of surprised, didn’t come out feeling good
Physics B -5 really really surprised, didn’t have time to finish 1/3 of fr and felt shaky on mc for some reason
Chem -4 fine with this one i guess
Human Geo -5 self-studied with barrons for two weeks, really straightforward

I’m really happy about my scores!
Ap Language and Composition - 4
Ap Physics B - 4
Ap Macroeconomics - 4

I answered like 3/7 questions in physics FRQ, so i thought I’d get a 3, but i guess my MC was strong. I honestly thought I wouldve got a 5 in the economics since the test felt like a breeze, but oh well. I’m thinking about rescoring my 4 in macro. Can anyone comment on how this process works and if it usually is successful?

AP Lang - 4; I didn’t even take the class, so I’m happy with this score.
AP Statistics - 4; This was expected. The teacher was terrible and you pretty much had to teach yourself everything.
APUSH - 5; Thank you Crash Course

Latin: 5; really happy about this one–no one in my school had gotten a 5 before.
Psychology: 5; expected.
US: 4; decent, because the multiple choice was really hard.

Decided to post on here, pretty excited about my scores but I won’t use most of them for credit anyway

AP Comp Govt: 5, Excited! Read the Ethel guide (almost newest edition) once and had to take it right after Macro

AP Macro: 5, awesome, my friend and I self-studied (had a free period) but did nothing all year lol

AP Art Drawing: 4, disappointed about this one, I really wanted a 5, but I only had 2 years of art throughout high school though I really enjoy art and the class

AP Art History: 4, sort of expected, I took an online class

Anyways, AP Comp Govt is really interesting (the Ethel book at least) and I got a 5 on US Govt last year so I guess it helped, I also did good on AP Micro sophomore year so I think that helped with Macro

I took a lot of fun APs this year so I am quite happy about the scores, I wonder how everyone else fared on the art exams

@BipolarBuddhist‌ : I really wanted 5’s in at least one of my humanities AP’s(preferably lit) , and I didn’t want to get so many 4’s :frowning: ugh

All 5 on Cal BC, Comp Sci, Physics C: Mech and E&M, so happy :">

APUSH: 5 - well expected. I literally was willing to bet anything that I would get a 5. My teacher is amazing and has a long history of getting 5s for at least a third of the class. We also worked so hard and learned so much throughout the year.

AP Bio: 3- expected a 2. lol, let’s just say all I did throughout the year was try to pay attention. My teacher literally did not even mention the AP test once. In my school, AP Bio is just an elective where we can enjoy the morning and eat breakfast. (In my school it’s known as AP Breakfast) Unfortunate, because I love biology and this class has sort of discouraged me, if anything. I hope AP Chem will be different.

AP English Lang & Composition: 4- Kinda expected. I would have never imagined a 4 weeks before the test because I frankly did not believe in myself. However, the day before, I gained some confidence after I realized that my dream school allows you to not take English if you score a 4 or 5. I went in with my game face, and though I scored badly on practice tests, I thought my essays were pretty well written. So happy about this one!

The CC community is so smart with all these 5s! Congrats everyone! Personally, I’m just glad my junior year is over, so I can relax before my 4 new AP classes start in the fall!

So I just tried using a proxy from Arizona and it didn’t work, apscore.org still said it was the wrong day for me, so does anyone have a proxy that they’ve used today that they know works?
