I also just want to say that I went to UCSB straight out of high school. While the student population wasn’t a good fit for me, that university is top tier. Excellent research opportunities, tons of Nobel laureates on their payroll, and the students, while intoxicated, were very intelligent. Just say in’.

@Collegewiz15 do you know if i choose not to live at the Village the first year after transfer, if its possible to live at the Village the 2nd year after transferring?

@collegewiz15: that sucks!! I WANT A SINGLE! this is supposed to be the best transfer dormitory in US!

@KB, UCB>UCLA>UCSD>UCSB/UCI/UCD> I stop caring at this point.

FTFY. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t like UCSB by the way. Obvious ■■■■■ is obvious.

@Zalrons Its starting to be like UCB > UCLA == UCSD > UCSB && UCI && UCD
Most say now but i say soon x)

@bolandgoo Aesthetically and socially it is the best! Apartment style beach view. Its great. The issue is the massive amounts of students getting in. They have to make room so they cant give to many singles away.
@Charger76 Two years is defined as six consecutive academic year quarters. You must continuously reside on campus for three consecutive academic year quarters. Moving off campus for any length of time other than quarter breaks, summer, or a UC San Diego-sponsored exchange program voids your Housing guarantee. However, there are exceptions!

@Collegewiz15 What i am trying to say is, if i cant afford to live on campus after i transfer (which is the first 3 quarters) and have the funds to live on campus after the 1st year which is the start of the 4th quarter and will be living on campus for the 4th, 5th and 6th quarter… is it possible?

I applied for Cognitive Science and I want to specialize in computation. I see a lot more cogsci and computational ling majors on here than I have the past couple of years. I’m missing Differential Equations though, which makes me nervous. I’ll post my stats when i get my status - even if I get rejected.

I really hope we’re in the second wave

Would you guys happen to know when UCSC and UCI release a majority of their decisions? I know that some have heard back, but when do the majority come for those 2 schools?

@collegewiz15: I’ve deactivated my facebook account long ago, otherwise I’d join your group and ask questions there, but anyhow…you’re an RA, if I become a very close friend to you, you know, can you give a single tp me?! I’m a very beautiful girl lol

idk if anyone has asked this already but to those already admitted how did your admissions contract look?

@credulitykills: If it makes you feel better, I got accepted as a CogSci major and have no requirements completed of any kind (including math). I’m currently taking pre-calc.

@bolandgoo Im an equal opportunist kind of fellow, sorry, but the apartment that ill be staying in doesn’t have too many rooms and Im guaranteed the single. Again aim substance free and you might get lucky!!! Ill be an RA for sub free in the west tower!!!. @Charger76 you can try your luck, I know people you have done what you want to do. They say its policy that it will be voided but people have circumvented that. My best advice to you would be to try your luck.

I was just kidding, I’m not even a girl!! thanks for the help ;)

Haha @bolandgoo I have been following this board for awhile. When you said you were a girl I thought, “Hmmm… For some reason I always pictured her as a guy.” But then again, I just picture everyone who has avatars as their avatar speaking in either a male or female voice. Perhaps that is a sign that I spend too much time on CC.

I only recognize Cayton and that’s only because he posts in literally every single topic.

@sonic23 contract states that by the end of Spring, you need to maintain at least a 3.0, complete 90sem/120qrt units, and get at least a 2.0 in the spring.

@RamonaFalls

Yeah, I spend too much time here. :P

Anyone know if I can take summer classes? I don’t care if it doesn’t affect admission chances, but I have two summer sessions and I can knock out the rest of my Bio series there. They don’t take partial credit for my bio series so doing it in summer will definitely help.
