@messiahanne, I believe its FANTASTIC you got in

@messiahanne THANK YOU. i can’t believe some of the negativity going on in this thread. once again, congrats on your acceptance and i hope admissions takes the time to go through our decisions as well as they went with yours.

(off topic) Does anyone know if we can take a class at CCC in the summer before transfer? and if it would count as part of our transcript?

@elane2260
Yup, apparently it came in the mail yesterday when I was out having lunch with a friend who’s on spring break from UCD. My mom took a picture and texted it to me lol.

@bolandgoo no you cannot. The summer before you transfer does not count.

Y’all should join our Facebook group. Ill be your RA if you plan on living on campus. The Village is literally the best transfer community in the country. The pictures and video’s are on the Facebook page. Lots of info on UCSD and orientations to. I believe that first you will have to SIR and join the main UCSD group before joining, but if not just hop in. Congrats on admissions everyone.

@bolandgoo of course you can take classes the summer before your transfer. you’ll just need to send in your summer transcript to whichever uc you attend.

@bolandgoo
If you’re doing the IGETC they need to be done by the spring before you transfer. IGETC is what makes for a docile academic experience.

Any Engineers hear back yet? Seems like every other major besides engineering has heard back…

@kb242014 hahahhaa if you can’t get into a “■■■■■■” school, how do you expect to get into a good one? Lmao, good luck with that!

@bolandgoo Yes, you can take classes in the summer, but obviously they won’t be considered for admissions. You can even take classes AFTER you transfer. There are two UCSD students and 1 SDSU student in my German 3 class finishing up their language classes at the cc. I plan on taking German 4 at my cc and the rest of my classes at the university this fall.

No I didn’t mean for finishing up IGETC, or for consideration for admission, just taking a transferable GE, so my total units in CCC in three years would be 70, rounded :)

@collegewiz15: I have a question for you. Can a student in Village keep have the same room(single room) for 2-3 years?! or students have to change their room, move their stuff etc etc. at the start of each year?

@bolandgoo You must move rooms each year. Priority increases the longer you stay a Village resident. It is unlikely that you’ll get a single as a new transfer student. If you request substance free housing you’ll increase your chances, but you must move locations each year. You residency is dependent on your priority which is dependent on how long you’ve been a village resident.

Anyone getting the same system error that was coming up when the first batch came?

@Mik194 My portal shows an error saying that the max connections [are] exceeded! Does your portal say the same thing?

Mine is a blank page so far (still loading for a long time)’ I’m using firefox.

Let’s hope for the best haha

OMG I was JUST coming on to say it wasn’t loading. Come onnnnnnn

I feel bad for all of next year’s transfers who are gonna have to trudge through all of this bickering to see all of the posted admissions stats.
