<p>Hey this is my first forum post but this UCSD waiting is just getting crazy… But do you guys have any idea how the “waves” are split? or are they just kind of random?</p>

<p>@robertshahinyan The first batch this go-around mostly had humanities majors reported on CollegeConfidential. I haven’t heard of too many science majors hearing back yet. You can check previous years posts and see the trends.</p>
<p>@marmaneous yeah I applied as a psych major but my classes were pre-med classes since that’s what I am interested in which I made very clear in my personal statement that I’m not using psych as a backdoor entrance.
So, I’m not sure what’s going on or how they decided cause I have a 3.7gpa which I thought was very competitive given the classes I took…</p>

<p>It makes sense that the science majors are taking a little longer because there are so many competitive applicants, so they have to consider more.</p>
<p>@anavera lmao, well UCLA better… cause they have all the crazy students with 4.0’s applying but some of those students have no soul or character.</p>
<p>I’ve also noticed that not a lot of STEM people have heard back from UCSD, my friend and I have been the only people in the STEM center at my school that have gotten accepted in the first wave (my friend tagged so he was pretty much in)… But I wish you guys the best!! :)</p>

<p>@robertshahinyan Yeah that’s what I’m finding odd. I TAG’d and I got accepted, but there are quite a few people on here who have also TAG’d and have yet to get a response.</p>
