@Cayton @lindyk8
Thanks for the affirmation It is very much appreciated and helps with the anxiety. Do you know if UCSD will generate an email once the decision is posted or should I keep checking the portal?

@MedicT

I suggest you keep checking the portal. I don’t think those who were accepted to UCSD in the first batch were notified via email.

Why y’all takin smack about my bae katy perry???

Talking

@JN1994, I ain’t even talkin smack tho, but I do think she’s hot.

You haven’t lived until you’ve driven with Katy Perry playing full blast with your windows down

@medicT My daughter has been accepted to four and only riverside sent a message. So I wouldn’t count on it.

@medicT @lindyk8 Actually, I got notified by email. I don’t really check the portals that much (if at all), so I wasn’t aware the first batch of UCSD decisions were out until I got emailed.

They did email a week after they posted it in the portal. Then they send it in the mail.

@Janig3

Then I’m partially wrong since they do send out emails. But I did ask those who were accepted to UCSD last month if they received emails about admissions decisions and they said no. Perhaps they received those emails sometime after I asked them about it.

@Cayton
I received an email to check MyAdmissions 5 days after my decision came in.

@DescartesQ, Wow, that’s such a long time.

@DescartesQ

You’d think UCSD would email its applicants immediately after their admissions decisions came out. You would think…

It’s been nearly a month. C’mon SD. C’mon…

@Cayton Well emailing immediately after admissions decisions came out would be a very a logical thing to do. So would evening out decision in batches. Doesn’t seem they understand both concepts…

Didn’t UCSD screw up once with false acceptance notifications? That’s why I would think they would want to wait a little to send out notifications after posting a decision. That way they have time for damage control in case such a screwup was to happen again. Even though there are many of us who constantly check our portals, there are probably many others who don’t.

@cidzor @BlaiseAM thank you! i will keep that in mind.

@psyc7955 that’s awesome!! i was alright at math in hs but in the past couple years i’ve been struggling with bipolar disorder, so i can relate to medication helping with schoolwork (although a learning disability is obv different). congrats though!

@chaoscuber i know this is probably weird (for a SD hopeful) but my major is history, not STEM-focused, and i’m basically a straight-A student at my other california CC classes. (what i’m maybe unreasonably worried about is about 4 not so great grades from out of state classes combined with the possible bad stats grade). is stats weighed

oops - is stats still weighed that heavily considering all that, do you think?
