@zmskei Harvard screwed up once with erroneous acceptance messages.

@lindyk8 i certainly can get a tutor! i’ve been doing all i can to improve my grade, and my professor says it’s possible from a points standpoint to even get a B. also, at the risk of sounding like i’m pushing the blame on someone else for my poor performance, but the professor is AWFUL (i was so hesitant to take him but he was basically the only one available, gee i wonder why).

i’m not really clear on what you’re saying re: acceptance rescinded though

@music1990 i have been recommended khan academy! i will try it. thanks. the professor really stinks, everyone on ratemyprofessors says you basically have to teach yourself stats.

@smltk1505h i’m kinda growing to like hypothesis testing, haha.

@dontshweatit yes!! he is an unreasonable man. he gloats about failing students. i’m determined though.

@Tstar1929 i must admit sometimes it is the teachers fault. For example this semester im stuck with a teacher who is okay with giving every single person in his class an F on there midterm and think its okay, im lying i got the highest grade a D. And its my major, and i cant pass his class.

Is it too late for a section transfer?

@sonic23 yeah, i think so… i’m gonna try really hard and hopefully things will work out for the best.

this week is so stressful. is it true UCSD is releasing their last batch of acceptances on friday?

Don’t count on it.

@tstar1929 I thought you were saying you were failing, so if you are now saying you could, in theory, get a B, definitely get a tutor! You don’t want one class to ruin your shot.

By rescind, I meant you get accepted and then your final grade is a D (maybe even a C, not sure of contract), and they rescind your acceptance. :((

And I get it about bad teachers. My daughter, who is not a math fan, is also taking statistics and had to make some weird accommodations to get the only teacher (on Rate My Professor) who got a good rating in the subject. The other teachers all had comments that they made it unintelligible.

Got a quick question. When time on the 18th do you think UCSD is going to release acceptances? (That is if it comes out on the 18th)

I tried calling but I can’t get to a live person…

Once this month of decisions is finally over, I’ll finally be able to just relax a bit and focus more on finishing out the semester strong. I’m sure it’s all been a pretty annoying experience for us all to have this nagging in the back of our minds.

Anyone have any idea if the freshman release dates for the UC’s were accurate with the Counselor’s bulletin or whatever (what Ms. Sun also posted)? It’s a long shot, but if it was accurate for them maybe we can expect how accurate they will be with ours.

To be honest, i am trying not to put to much hope about UCSD admission coming out the 18th because no one knows if Ms. Sun is accurate or not.

I just got off the phone with an admissions officer and she said by April 30th.

@tstar1929 thanks, I do a lot of research on my professors and try to get the ones that are compatible with my learning style. None of the tricks work for me so I am anxiously awaiting Friday, I hope they release the acceptances early!

@psyc7955
“Compatible with my learning style”= easy

yeah?

@music1990 psyc7955 said they have a learning disability, i think that’s what they meant…

has anyone heard anything from calling admissions besides “you’ll hear by April 30th”?

Anyone planning on taking summer school at UCSD?
