I mean transfer to Mecha Engin. which is am impacted major anyway. HELP!!! DO U guys have any ideas about changing major to mechanical engineering after atending UCSD???</p>

<p>What are the transfer college requirements for Warren once we get there?</p>
<p>@HHenryGGGGG I’m not exactly sure for SD, but I know for LA that you can’t do that with impacted majors. I applied to an impacted major and got in, but I want to switch it possibly to a slightly less impacted major (but still impacted) and that is hard enough, yet not impossible. When you apply for the other major––in this case mech. engineering––they look to see if you would have been competitive if you applied with that major in the first place. Since it seems like they thought you were not competitive in that major, I would not get my hopes up. Either way they usually don’t allow you to switch to impacted majors after transfer. Sorry if this wasn’t what you wanted to hear though

<p>@ccnube On the pamphlet I got from transfer day it says the following:</p>
<p>With TAG / IGETC : Completes lower GE requirements, but 3 additional upper-division courses outside of your major required.</p>
<p>Not TAG or IGETC : You must complete the freshman GE requirements, AFTER TRANSFER to UCSD, Warren College will determine which of your transferable courses satisfy GE requirements. </p>

<p>Anyone surprised with finacnial aid package? They gave me $21,000grants which is crazy. The most any school offered me. UCLA only gave me blue and gold </p>
