2014 PSAT

@fireonice In February, CB will release the State Summary reports, which don’t give cutoffs, but might give somwhat of a clue as to whether this year’s test takers scored higher or lower than last year. Then, in April, they will notify the principals of the “high scorers”, which includes all commended students. If you can find out what that cutoff is (usually between 200-204) that may also give a clue as to whether the Semifinalist scores rose or dropped, at least as a national average. State by state, you still will see anomalies (some states will rise a few points while others fall), so it’s all just a guessing game until September. Good luck to you! Our family will be waiting anxiously also!

@3boystogo‌ Thanks! It does look like the commended score is almost directly correlated with my state’s variance in score, so that’s good.

@fireonice‌ Im in NJ, so I probably missed it. Wbu?

@vmiller7723‌ I’m in Illinois so I have a good chance but it’s not certain.

@fireonice‌ were you always good at CR? I have always been pretty good at math and writing and that’s why I got 76 in M and 78 in W, but I only a 64 in CR. Do you have any tips?

@vmiller7723‌ I only got 72 honestly im not the best person to ask haha. Just look through CC threads at 800ers and practice lots
