<p>I applied for Musical Theater, and got the reply from Tisch this morning informing me I was put on the wait list. I wonder how many people are on this list and how are my chances of getting a spot? (I heard they have a priority for juniors and I'm a sophomore... uh oh) It seems to me that the chances of somebody accepted bail themselves out are very slim. Maybe someone applied for scholarship/financial aid but didn't get it? But why the hell would anybody quit if they don't have the problem! And one more thing, how many people are usually accepted into the program? Thanks guys!</p>
<p>I doubt they waitlisted too many people, I got in for the photography and imaging and I heard it was pretty selective</p>
<p>According to their FAQ, they accept 32 people to the New Studio Summer Music Theatre Program. And they have over 700 applicants for 8 programs they offer.

I am a junior this year, and I just got my email yesterday and got into the Musical Theatre Program. But don’t lose hope, I applied for another musical theatre program incase I couldn’t get into this one, and the other was pretty competitive as well. And plus, you’re only a sophomore, you can always try again next year. All the best!

<p>Congratulations that you got in!! No, I don’t think they waitlisted a lot of people. Just hope for the best. </p>
<p>Remain hopeful. This is an expensive program. I’m sure there are a number of applicants that need to get a decent amount of financial aid to be able to attend. Have you contacted Tisch to find out about how many students clear the wait list each year? </p>
<p>My daughter also got waitlisted for Tisch MT Summer Program. We are curious as well, how many are on the waitlist and historically how many do they clear off of it. If you find anything out, let us know and we will do the same. Best of luck! </p>
<p>I’ve not contacted them yet. They said clearly in the letter that they won’t provide information about status on the wait list for the wait listed. But I guess to ask them how many people are there should be ok? I’ll tell you if I know anything ma’am. </p>

<p>@33mds33 No I have not! neither has my Status changed on the application dashboard. I’m not sure what does it mean but I guess I’m not accepted, that’s it, because they say they would email us if a spot becomes available. </p>

<p>@artRLx I received email from Tisch saying wait list is still active and they are awaiting more confirmations and they will give a better update by 4/23… So more waiting. </p>
