Yes, today was the first official day of notification. I have no idea why the dates for Texas are different for OOS and IS.

First interview experience was great. It was not a top school on her list before interview, but she said she kept an open mind and would be happy going there if admitted. Now… bring on some more II’s!
Our state school still has not mailed the 10/15 invitations. I have never seen so many jumpy pre-meds. Much texting and lamenting on SDN. I would laugh if my own wasn’t so jumpy.
OTOH, he has loved all the schools with interview invitations so will be happy to go anywhere with an acceptance.
Any one got acceptance from University Of Cincinnati Med School yet? My daughter was interviewed on Oct. 7, and has not heard from the school.
It might be too early for them to decide from October 7th to 15th. It is usually rare for anyone to be admitted within 4 weeks of their interview. Most schools with rolling admission let the interviewees know when they might hear based on their interview date.

Generally when we’re talking about SDN, we’re referring to the various forums/discussion boards on the site.

The letter came to our house yesterday! DS has his first acceptance. In truth, he would be okay going there. The relief is palpable. he has to wait at least one more month for his other decisions, and one until March I think.

For those who are still waiting, be patient. I know how hard that is. Three years ago, at this time, S had interviews, but no acceptances yet. I remember how hard it was to read about other schools rapidly accepting. Many schools do not make decisions quickly.
^ Agreed! D got into the school she’s now attending off the WL in March and plenty of her friends didn’t have any acceptances until Jan-March. There is still time for many good things to happen.
Happy dance… 1 interview 2 weeks ago, got the acceptance call this morning!!! She’s going to be a doctor : ) I cannot express how much relief it is to have one acceptance. I don’t even care if she gets another one… we have a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s not a train. It’s her dream.
