It might also just be for CCC students. I came from another UC and haven’t gotten one 
My daughter has a 4.0 and didn’t get the alumni invite, although you can just apply. She also didn’t apply for aid or have a hardship.
This might be off-topic, but does the Alumni Scholarship GPA cutoff for total GPA or just the UC transferrable GPA?
Eh I’m from a CCC and still have not received anything either. I have a 4.0 if that matters All of us are anxiously waiting!!
They only calculate transferable grades.
Alright. I didn’t get an invite. So it might be because I only have a 3.7, but my UC GPA is 3.76.

The UCLA Regents Scholarship represents one of the highest honors awarded to entering students at the University of California and offers a merit award of $2,000 per year for two years. Scholars who have additional financial need, based upon a review of their FAFSA, are awarded up to their demonstrated need with additional scholarships and grants.
Regents Scholarship applicants will be evaluated and selected by the UCLA Faculty Committee on Honors, Awards and Prizes. Scholarship decisions will be released and scholars will be notified of their award in mid May.

Not there for me. A little bummed, but I guess they can’t send it out to everyone with a 4.0. Congrats to all of those who got the invite! I hope you win! 
Also, if anyone else with a high GPA is feeling bummed, one of my friends with fantastic ECs, TAP and a 4.0 was rejected from UCLA altogether, so we can consider ourselves super lucky.

Or any circumstance that you might think warrants attention - leadership, hardship, theme of essay, etc.
My daughter had a lot of ECs and started a non-profit, although her essays did not really focus on leadership, etc. The monetary amount is low, so in the scope of life it doesn’t make much difference, but there obviously is some clear formula. Just wondering what it is to aid future applicants.

I got regents! I have a 4.0 but reading this forum I got really nervous that I wouldn’t. I have pretty strong EC’s and community service though.
