<p>On different forums, I heard many different opinions toward UCLA.
Some said it not hard to get except certain majors;
some said it's very competitive.</p>
<p>I am a fob who came to U.S to freshmen year, so although my GPA
is ok, my SAT and ACT simply screwed me all over.</p>
<p>Here are my status:
(I am a in-coming Senior)
U.S Citizen (recently naturalized :D)
in-state student of CA</p>
<p>GPA: unweighted:3.93 weighted:4.36
Rank: top5% of the class (actually top4%, i am in the ELC)
ACT:28 (SAT is too low that i don't even want to mention it)
APs: Chemistry, Biology, Statisitcs, Calc AB, Calc BC, Chinese (:D).
going to take senior year: U.S Governent, Computer Science, Art History, Environmental Science.</p>
<p>extracurricualr:
Volunteer in a local hospital (more than 100 hours)
Volunterr for a Austism association (more than 100 hours)
Taiwanese Club President
Partipate in several major Autism events (received recognition for them)</p>
<p>Am I a solid candidate for UCLA biochemistry?
Or UCI pre-med?</p>
<p>Does my background as a fourth-year student in U.S help?</p>
