2018 AP Results

@coolboy456781 Dual enrollment does not guarantee any credit - it is very school specific. In general yes a state school gives the most credit but that is not a guarantee. My daughter applied to and got into 8 colleges but not a single college would evaluate her classes to tell you what they would grant credit for until after she paid the deposit. Some schools did show classes that transferred from a specific school to that school in an online database to give you an idea.

For my daughter who did 19 de classes (no AP) she is going to a private school that we were surprised gave her credit for all the classes and she is officially a junior though in reality a freshman with advanced credit standing. Now not every class is a direct transfer and some are just free elective credits. Based on conversations with the state school that was a financial likelihood she ended up with more credits here then the state school thought they would give though none of the classes were guaranteed. At the school she is going to they asked to see syllabi and department professors made the decisions not admissions.

My daughter’s friend from the same high school dual enrollment program deposited at a different private school. He didn’t do a great job researching but they wouldn’t give credits for any course taken as a high school graduation requirement or that were needed to get the total credits needed for high school graduation. Basically I recommend you talk to admissions ahead of time so there are no surprises.

I took two!
My predictions are
AP Calc BC (3)
AP Psychology (5)

I took 3 tests this year, I’m thinking I got a 5 on APUSH, 4/5 on AP Lang, and a 3/4 on AP Music Theory (yikes)

I took one this year (sophomore year).
AP Macroeconomics: predicting a 4 but I’m praying for a 5. I did terribly on the FRQs but I feel like I did pretty well on the MC section.

I took AP CSP. I’m hoping for a 5 and if I did well on the performance tasks, it seems feasible. I don’t think I got a 4, but you never know.

I have no idea how I did this year. I’m predicting
AP CSA: 4 or 5
AP World: 4 or 5
AP Physics 1: I’m honestly praying for a 3. But more likely to get a 1 or 2. I ended up having a mental breakdown during the test.

It was my first year taking AP tests since I’m a freshman, and these are my predictions :

AP Chem (4/5)
AP Biology (5)
AP World (4/5) (more on the 5 side though)
AP Psychology (5) (self-study)
AP Human Geo (5) (self-study)

Chemistry is the only one I’m a bit worried about, because it was my very first AP exam EVER, and it was interesting lol, but I’m hoping for the best. I also took a make up exam for both AP World and Human Geo, since I was traveling for ISEF, and the FRQs for both were easier than the ones released for the regular exam, so hopefully that helps

I’m worried about AP European History… the exam was hard and I suck at history

Prediction
AP Lang : 5
AP Bio : 3 (completely blanked lol oh well)

These are my predictions:

AP Psych: 3/4
AP Calc BC: 4/5
AP Macroecon: 5

15 minutes ahh!!

I got my actual scores via apstudents:

AP Art History: 4
AP English Literature: 5
AP Chemistry: 4
AP US Government: 4
AP Macroeconomics: 5

I’m pretty happy about these; I was a bit worried about Macro and Chemistry, but apparently I did better than I thought.

Well I’m super depressed because I was thinking I was gonna end up with 3 5s and not 3 4s but oh well.

AP Chemistry - 4 (as i expected)
AP Computer Science A - 5 (as i expected)
AP Lang - 4 (was crushed by seeing this)
APUSH - 4 (I was on the fence so I’m not totally surprised)

I’m soooo disappointed:

AP Euro: 3
AP Psych: 4

Eyyyyy, my predictions were 3/4 right!
APUSH: 5
AP Lang: 5 (thought this one was a 4!!!)
AP Chem: 5
AP Physics 1: 4

we snuck into a proxy to see the kid’s score a bit early.

Lit - delayed, not sure why…
Stats - 5
Psych - 5
Computer Science A 5
Government - 4 aaargh
Physics C Mechanics 4
Physics C E&M 3 lol
Microeconomics (self-study) 3 lol
Macroeconomics (self-study) 3 lol

Ugh! DD checked a proxy and did NOT do well.
Any chance those scores are inaccurate? Or pre-curve?
Holding out hope : (

hmmm, that’s interesting, can one VPN into AP Central as if they are in a released state and see their scores? Or say you’re on vacation in one of the early release states, are these releases by login site or site where you took the test?

@ProfessorPlum168 Delayed score? Wonder what could be holding it up. Was an issue reported regarding the room in which the test was taken? Never heard of this before.

For us, all 5’s (Cal, Language, Chem, US History, Latin)

@ThinkOn no idea. He took a couple of makeup tests of which Lit was one of them, so he literally was the only one in the room for both tests. His US Government scorebcame in so I don’t think the delay is because of the makeup schedule.
