Can't believe its this late in the game and nobody has a concrete thread for UNC RD. So I guess I'll start one. I don't really have any information about when the decisions will be released so this thread could serve to find that out. Also once people do get accepted/waitlisted/rejected you can post about that.

EA this year was released on a Thursday so it’s possible, but since there the blog post today wasn’t about how to view your decision, I am pretty sure it will be next Friday.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they came out tomorrow. Everybody seems to have some sort of feeling that decisions are close. Tomorrow is UCLA as well. It just seems right.
I can’t believe they haven’t informed us of when the official date is. It’s really stressful to not know.

There’s also a good chance that they’re making their decisions by snail mail and admission notifications will be rolling in through late march.

Online it says “Early Action candidates will hear from us by the end of January and Regular Decision candidates will hear by the end of March. We’ll post your decision on MyCarolina. We know the waiting is hard, so we’ll do our best to keep you updated on the Admissions Blog.” so I wouldn’t expect any snail mail…but honestly all I want is a decision I don’t care how it comes!

Oh and this is what it says in the Ask Admissions section: “Admission Decision Notification
Official decision letters are mailed to each student’s home address. As a courtesy, we also post decisions on each student’s account.” so I guess it’s both but I assume we will be able to check online before we get any snail mail…good luck guys!

Has anybody called them within the last few days. Maybe the admissions office would kindly enlighten us. Some offices are more helpful than others.

I haven’t called, but at least for EA they just said “sometime by the end of the month” without revealing anything more specific. It could be worth another try though.

I tried calling the office on Tuesday, for a different reason than asking the date, but nonetheless I was unable to reach anyone. It was during office hours but it just went straight to “Please leave a message and an admissions representative will be in touch with you soon. Thank you.”
