Last year was snail mail, and they tweeted late in the day that decisions were being mailed. For REA this cycle, I believe I heard they released at 6:42 pm. Yes, that is a significant number, and ND is all about that, so if it is today, don’t be surprised if that’s the time.

Why is it a significant number?
For those of you who have been to ND Stadium since they laid the field turf, you will notice there are nine hash marks in each end zone pointed at a 42 degree angle towards the Dome. They really play up the significance, sometimes in subtle ways.

@malim123 Not sure what you mean. REA decisions came out in December. RD is expected any day.

Good luck to everyone. Have to say that while I think the portal is a positive change (some students last year didn’t get their notifications in the mail in a timely manner…leading to much anxiety)…there was something so cool about getting the “big envelope” in the mailbox. Sort of glad we got to experience that last year!
Again, good luck to everyone–I am sure you are all amazing students that will have lots of great choices no matter what decision you are given from ND.

I got deferred and waitlisted from Boston College. Now Notre Dame becomes my top choice!!
