General Comments: S is staying on the bright side, but sure is hard. Does anyone have any idea to the thought process of why he was rejected?

Very sorry, fellow Arrowman RangerJerry. A very similar profile to my son, also an Arrowman, who was deferred EA, then accepted tonight.

At this level, probably 50 percent of applicants qualify. Then it’s luck of the draw. No rhyme or reason.

It takes me so long to accept the fact that I’m rejected…

Deferred to wait listed.

Great.

just want to add that ivyhopeful and Fiona are wonderful! the way you both respected and encouraged people on here make you an inspiration! Good Luck to you both!

@RangerJerry I appreciate the kind words. I’ve cooled off a bit (having to wait another 2 months isn’t exciting news), but I’m going to approach this waitlist to the best of my ability. That being said, I’ll probably end up at NEU or Nova (if accepted) if I don’t get pulled off of ND’s waitlist. Keep a prayer out for me – I need all the help I can get.

@Fiona1997 @IvyHopeful98 Y’all are still wonderful people regardless of the result, and will go on to impact the world in magnificent ways.

I was accepted! That makes four down, three more to hear from!

@iska123 - Congrats yet again! But you are accepting ND right? With all due respect to the Bruin community… it ain’t ND!

To All

As a parent I have tried to instill in my children that there personal sense of value should not be subject to the opinion of but a select few others. Those who REALLY know you. I think as a parent I may not have drilled this home enough during the college application process. All the schools which my daughter (and my son before her) are fine institutions. But they are just that. Rejection is hard. Appectence gains you nothing if the next rejection knocks you down. No matter if you get accepted, rejected, wait listed or decide never to go to college, know your own personal worth. NEVER surrender it to the decision of another. Have confidence you will be happy and succeed whatever path, college, profession you choose.

I thank God my D was accepted because she wanted it but it does not mean she is any better than if she was rejected.

Sorry, their not there.

@Dadof4greatkids - Yeah, yeah, yeah… but bottom line your kid was accepted? Love you sense of empathy WITHOUT THE ENDING.
