Did anyone get accepted to the gateway program?
If you got into mendoza, do you mind sharing your stats?
From one mother to another thank you sharing such a comforting story. Congrats to all that were accepted!

Rejected with a 3.92 and 2140, not too surprised but still pretty bummed after working my butt off for four years…not happy at all Congrats to those who got in tho!
ACCEPTED! Arts and Letters. 32 ACT and 3.75 gpa…'twas a miracle. Congrats to all!
@3rdXsTheCharm If I were your daughter I would cry my eyes out… this is tough… so far I already received 7 rejections. 4 acceptances but none of them attracts me. I have a couple more coming out. I plan to transfer to ND next year but it wouldn’t be the same. I will miss so many things… orientation… first time visiting the grotto… I’m very depressed…

@Fiona1997 I understand your pain. Sorry about what you’re going through. I hope you enjoy wherever you end up!
If I go to Holy Cross at Notre Dame, IN, what are my chances for second year transfer?
@Fiona1997, I have been following this thread because my D is a freshman at ND. I have been rooting for you. Please look at post #598 by @3rdXsTheCharm. Embrace the colleges where you’ve been accepted. Check out the opportunities that are there for you. There is an old saying that (wo)man plans and God laughs. I understand your disappointment, and you should acknowledge it. But then move on. Take the great opportunities that you have and make them great. Don’t go into a college set on transferring. Give it a chance. I wish you all the best.
@suzy100 My dream is to get a degree from Notre Dame at some point in my life. If not for undergrad, I will try grad school… but thank you for the words of wisdom! I’m not super upset since I know it is my high reach and my stats are really not that great… I will try to move on.
@Fiona1997 As the mother of a daughter also rejected, I agree with @suzy100. We have been praying that she would be accepted where she is meant to be. Tonight is difficult and not as we hoped, but we know she (and everyone else not accepted at ND) will go on to do amazing things. Try to look forward to what’s ahead - 4 acceptances is an accomplishment you should be proud of! Xxoo
@wismom3 Thank you! I’m waiting to hear from Holy Cross (Worcester, MA). Another great Catholic school. This whole college application process is eye-opening and I’ve grown so much! It just doesn’t run as smoothly as I thought…
Hang in there @Fiona1997! Many among us have not followed the path they had originally hoped for. It may sound corny, but if you grow where you’re planted, you will flourish. Prayers to you and all who are disappointed.
