2021 Stocking Stuffers Thread

Wow! That’s beautiful!

That’s so cute!

@twoinanddone is it cross stitch? I was an avid cross stitcher back in the day!!!

@twoinanddone - that’s absolutely beautiful. Do you have a pattern you can share or link to? I used to cross stitch a lot before the kids! Maybe it’s something I should pick up again now…

So glad you like the ornaments!

They are weirdly specific-- I contemplated getting the eggs in an egg carton ornament for a friend that gives me eggs, but ultimately decided to give her a fox (something she really likes). The fox is a little more generic, but it’s also prettier. But I still think about that egg carton!

A fox in the henhouse?  :baby_chick:

I have done many of these. Yes, most are cross stitch. I used to do crewel but they just don’t make the kits any more (the ones I made in the 80s now cost $200 on ebay). I did follow a pattern but it came from a kit. I had to blow up the different sections and tape them together because I just can’t read the teeny tiny print. I cheat and buy the kits. I have dozens of them saved from my reckless purchasing over the years. I could try to share a pattern but it really is a mess after I’ve folded and refolded it a million times.

I’ve told my family not to throw them out when I die - they are worth a lot on ebay! And yet I keep buying them - got one at the thrift store on Saturday for $4.

I started a cross stitch stocking similar to yours when my daughter was born. Finished it on her 21st birthday! You do beautiful work

Another Mike’s Hot Honey buyer here. I was at World Market looking for stocking stuffers, and I got a bottle.
Is it going to be too much for melted Brie cheese?
I got a whole round of Brie at Costco, and figured it would be a good appetizer for sometime during the holidays. Sometimes we drizzle honey on it, so figured hot honey might be OK?

My husband is at Costco right now buying the big Brie (can’t beat it) and will be trying the hot honey, usually use leftover cranberry sauce from thanksgiving.

I say YES!!! Sprinkle a little herbs on it too if you like.

I got the last jar of Mike’s Hot Honey at Walmart this week (not my favorite place to shop, but was on a mission). I’m going to D’s for Christmas and she is planning a charcuterie board. So while it was planned for SIL’s stocking, we may need to break it out early if she does that for Christmas Eve. Like others above, I’m anxious to try.

Did anybody order a Crave detangling hair brush? (post #257, 102 views of the Amazon link… I got some kind of CC badge at 50).

I’ve found mine works well on wet or dry hair. But sometimes there is a knot that still requires a comb. All in all it seems like I’m pulling out less hairs along the way… but that may be wishful thinking.

LOL, after Christmas/New Year we are going to need a “Your Favorite Way to Use Mike’s Hot Honey” thread.

I ended up with enough stocking stuffers so didn’t buy it but I would be interested in reading people’s reviews of the product.

My 18 year old son put some on his pizza last night and said it did not suck.

I don’t know Mike’s, but TJ’s Spicy Honey Sauce is amazing and inexpensive.

I bought AirTags, AirTag holders and fun silicone vases that stick to windows or refrigerators for stocking stuffers. Will flesh them out with candy and scratchers.

I was just thinking that same thought. I want to try to find some for my husband for his birthday.
