Squishmallows are pretty popular. Even my college daughters like them.
I enjoyed a succulent subscription box last year and may give one away this year. Each month two tiny succulents arrive in a little box.
Alternatively, I am thinking about mini windowsill herb garden kits.
Oh, you’re right, that’s what the pillow is called. I just stumbled upon a shopping cart full of them and thought my 20+ year old niece will love it.
Can you send some info about this? One of my kids lives in a climate where succulents work best, and wants some for outdoors.
Some of these items are pretty large for a stocking!
Along the “plants” idea, even if the recipient lives in a cold climate but has a sunny space, a seed pack or two of herbs or microgreens and a couple of mini terra cotta planters would make a good stocking stuffer to start after the new year.
The baby succulents arrive in tiny containers (maybe 2-inch cubes?). The outer box is maybe 3x3x5 inches or something like that. Subscription info can be found here: Succulents Box® - Succulent Subscription Box Delivered Monthly
Thank you!!
Very cool!
Thanks! Not in Costco near me, but see them on Amazon.
Yup—the pillow is too big but the stockings are big and the flip flops will help fill the stocking nicely. The lotion pack can be disassembled to fit better in stockings.
My kids have had mugs and socks done with photos of the grandpug on them, and last year made a custom calendar with photos of the grandpug and the grandcats and personal/family dates.
USB-c charger plugs and 6ft cords will be in everyone’s stocking, plus similar car chargers.
Kitchen items: In our family, a new spatula is always a good idea. Small measuring glass (measure and pour is a favorite) or a 1/4 cup Oxo slanted cup with multiple measures - ideal for cooking or cocktails. Fancy cocktail stirrers, unusual or craft bitters, other bar accessories.
I just picked up some smashmallows at Grocery Outlet. I’m glad I had read this thread.
My kids always get a chocolate orange as part of their stockings…
Ditto! We used to allow our kids to open stockings at breakfast, while waiting for Grandma to come over and be part of the gift opening fun. The stockings also had a real orange, but we let them choose which to have with breakfast…. you can guess which they wanted.
I just received an order from Sierra (used to be Sierra Trading Post, and is now part of the TJMaxx group) with a half dozen pairs of US-made socks, all very colorful. I was surprised by the variety of items they carry, including some nice hand lotions.
Not a stocking stuffer, but I also ordered a machine washable cotton throw (made in India) on Sierra that’s surprisingly soft.
Bookmarked but not yet ordered are some food treats and kitchen towels from World Market.
World Market usually has some great stocking stuffers, if you just walk around a little. They have “fun” candy, hot sauces, cookies, and things you don’t see at other places.
Sierra is a great “one stop shop” for stocking stuffers. Socks, winter head wear/gaitors, water bottles, dog toys, outdoorsy home items, candles, decor, hiking gadgets, etc.
My kids are fond of “sand and paws” candles that come from those stores I think. I can’t get them, because they “expect” them from an aunt.
I should have posted this earlier today, but Good Morning America has a Bombas socks on Deals and Steals today.
The weather suddenly changed here this week, and my skin suddenly feels dry. This reminded me to buy one of my stocking stuffer favorites - the little Mario Badescu facial sprays.
