2022-2023 USC Transfer

When will decisions come out ?

This happened to me, but I applied twice so my case might be different. I didn’t have a HS diploma (GED instead). I had a new AO the second time around. He reached out around May 7th saying he needed my GED again. I don’t know how they lost it though. I wouldn’t necessarily say it means anything though; just that your AO needs to make sure everything is in order before making a final decision. I do think it’s a little crazy that you’d barely be asked about it though. Here I was thinking May 7th was late.

When I forwarded my transcript receipt to AO in February asking why my transcripts are still pending she responded that she "didn’t know where they were but could totally make a decision with my unofficials. Still waiting
tho my sister got TTP in March as a freshman applicant.

If we didn’t get a SGR but have our spring sem grades finalized should we go ahead and add it on our portal?

Guessing too late as historically decisions are out tomorrow since UC’s SIR are due by June 1st but might work for appeal which are usually only spring admission offers.

Yes.

should we expect a wave tmw or just completely wait for next friday

I called today asking about potential transfer decisions on Friday, 5/20 —the reply: “decisions will be released on May 31”

did u ask about a SGR?

damn :upside_down_face:

When I called I was placed on automated hold for 10 minutes. When the person answered, she was professional but brief. They are probably irritated people are calling to ask about decision dates. But compared to other T25 schools, USC is very late to release decisions and many students are eager to find out.

Let them be irritated cuz it’s honestly so redundant for freshman applicants to receive their decisions back in march but transfers get the vague “either may 31 or sgr” A lot of us just want our decisions so we could make a choice for what college we want to attend by june

can someone call them about the delayed SGR? I would but I already called them many times

What is a delayed SGR? Have never heard that term, really there is no such thing. Not everyone gets an SGR - plenty are admitted without an SGR. And some will still get them in the next 10 days or so. But none are considered “delayed,” they send them when/if they want.

Lmao I meant the fact that barely anyone has gotten them compared to the amount of ppl who already got them last year by this time. My bad should’ve elaborated

Supply/demand wins here. Those that really really want USC will wait as long as it takes to get it. Transfers are definitely a lower priority, that’s not a ding, just a fact how it has always been. Definitely a feeling of "you should feel lucky to be considered.” Which the elitist attitude isn’t one of my favorite things there tbh. Many at USC aren’t a fan of how big the transfer class is - something a former USC president did - a lot of private schools don’t let in as many transfers (or hardly any) as USC. They think it makes USC like a UC. But those dedicated to go will put up with the attitude from the school or whoever. Once you are there you are a Trojan. Period.

So it’s a take it or leave it power they have. Doesn’t make it fun, just how it is.

Hang in there all, it would be great if they would roll tomorrow - that was the old m.o. for years. But recent years they have pushed it to the last Friday of the month.

Ya that along with reddit too, but we always get some here too. No news from USC was the point. More waiting, but most of the waiting is behind you guys.
