I’m sorry to hear that you were not successful in your transfer application last year. However, I’m glad to hear that you are considering USC for your future studies.
While a low GPA can be forgiven if you are currently attending a rigorous school, it is always best to have strong academics to back up your transfer application. In addition to strong academics, be sure to also focus on your extracurricular activities and how you have contributed to your current school community.
If you have any questions about the transfer process or your application specifically, I encourage you to reach out to the USC Admissions Office for more guidance.
The letter for my son came yesterday at 4:11pm EST….there was an e-mail with a status update….accepted! He is incredibly happy. Best of luck to all of you.
I think a couple of people within the Discord have called admissions during the past week and a half, and they just respond with “decisions will be out by the 31st”. At this point I’d just say to wait it out.
@CADREAMIN Will the USC Transfer applicants get their financial aid statement posted at the same day of the admitted day or have to wait for few days or a week?
You will wait a few days, but they should be prompt as you just have a couple weeks to respond. They virtually never get it out at same time as admitted, but would be so good if they would. People get emotionally invested over those few days and if FA not enough it just blows for them. Good luck, hope you get good news on both fronts!
@CADREAMIN Oh OK. Yeah, I agree with you that if FA is not enough for those admitted applicants, that will be much disappointed for them. Thank you for your response!
When I applied: cgpa: 3.67, transfer gpa: 3.76
after winter: cgpa: 3.71, transfer gpa: 3.79
some ppl at my school also didn’t receive winter grade.
update: looking at last year’s thread and the same thing happened to some ppl (some got in and some didn’t)
