2022-2023 USC Transfer

Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you were not successful in your transfer application last year. However, I’m glad to hear that you are considering USC for your future studies.
While a low GPA can be forgiven if you are currently attending a rigorous school, it is always best to have strong academics to back up your transfer application. In addition to strong academics, be sure to also focus on your extracurricular activities and how you have contributed to your current school community.
If you have any questions about the transfer process or your application specifically, I encourage you to reach out to the USC Admissions Office for more guidance.

Best of luck in your transfer application!

The letter for my son came yesterday at 4:11pm EST….there was an e-mail with a status update….accepted! He is incredibly happy. Best of luck to all of you.

Congrats! Is he going to be a sophomore or a junior next year? And did he receive a SGR or was he accepted without one?

Thank you so much! We are all so happy. He will be a junior. No SGR in acceptance letter…

Ahh not many unfortunately:( still waiting for the big drop. Mostly silent. :+1:

has anyone tried calling the admissions office?

I don’t think so! Should we call admissions, I think they want us to just wait?

I think a couple of people within the Discord have called admissions during the past week and a half, and they just respond with “decisions will be out by the 31st”. At this point I’d just say to wait it out.

This is totally normal, no sense calling admissions.

Hey guys is anyone in a discord group for usc transfers

@CADREAMIN Will the USC Transfer applicants get their financial aid statement posted at the same day of the admitted day or have to wait for few days or a week?

yea there are two big-ish servers with one that’s more active here’s the link for both :

You will wait a few days, but they should be prompt as you just have a couple weeks to respond. They virtually never get it out at same time as admitted, but would be so good if they would. People get emotionally invested over those few days and if FA not enough it just blows for them. Good luck, hope you get good news on both fronts!

@CADREAMIN Oh OK. Yeah, I agree with you that if FA is not enough for those admitted applicants, that will be much disappointed for them. Thank you for your response!

interesting. not to be nosy but are your grades good?

When I applied: cgpa: 3.67, transfer gpa: 3.76
after winter: cgpa: 3.71, transfer gpa: 3.79
some ppl at my school also didn’t receive winter grade. :frowning:
update: looking at last year’s thread and the same thing happened to some ppl (some got in and some didn’t)

Is he a Ttp? Congrats

It’s so quiet on here. They are really making people wait for decisions this year.
